Synopsis:

The entire school's talking about the gorgeous new math teacher, Mr. Beck. Everyone except Kaylee Cavanaugh. After all, Kaylee's no ordinary high-school junior. She's a banshee—she screams when someone dies.

But the next scream might be for Kaylee.

Yeah—it's a shock to her, too. So to distract herself, Kaylee's going to save every girl in school. Because that hot new teacher is really an incubus who feeds on the desire of unsuspecting students. The only girls immune to his lure are Kaylee and Sabine, her boyfriend's needy ex-girlfriend. Now the unlikely allies have to get rid of Mr. Beck…before he discovers they aren't quite human, either.

But Kaylee's borrowed lifeline is nearing its end. And those who care about her will do anything to save her life.

Anything.

My rating: ★★★★★

In this installment of the Soul Screamers, Kaylee finds out her expiration date is coming up...much too soon for her liking. She also discovers that the new, hot, young teacher is really an incubus, looking for more than just a little fun with the female students. Kaylee decides to try to get rid of this incubus posing as a teacher, not only to get her mind off her coming death, but also to save her best friend, Emma, from the clutches of the incubus. Impending death, incubus at school...will Kaylee be able to get out of this one?

Well, what can I say about this book? I LOVED IT! Its the best book yet, I swear! I could not put it down till I found out what Kaylee's final fate would be!

I have to admit, although I used to be on Team Nash-and-Kaylee -- I thought they were meant to be together -- I always loved Tod, too! He is such a sweet guy, and funny, and he is a freakin' reaper! Don't know why, but I have a thing for reapers. However, after reading this book, I have completely crossed over and have become a proud member of Team Tod! Woot, woot!

And let me tell you, Rachel sure knows how to take you on an emotional roller coaster! In the last part of the book, Tod nearly gave me a heart attack...twice, actually! The first I nearly died of sadness, and the second one was of pure joy! This book, made me cry, laugh, and everything in between! I LOVE a book that can make me feel these intense emotions! Besides emotion, the story was also packed full of action and suspense, which I also love.

Because of Kaylee's fast-approaching death, the ending was not looking so great. But I'll tell you this: the book actually had a bittersweet ending that I actually liked!

The end of the series is just around the corner, and that makes me really sad. But I am also excited to find out how things will turn out. And knowing Rachel and her amazing writing, I KNOW she will make it great!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
