Synopsis:

Love bites.
Probation sucks.

Thanks to Dante’s recklessness, Aurora is now partners with Valerie: the redheaded, backstabbing vixen.

Dante is in full flirt mode. Fane’s tactics are more ruthless. Something carnal has awakened in Aurora and neither boy is helping tame her cravings.

When a member of the unit’s team is found dead, Aurora and Valerie are sent after a vampire in Sitka, but Aurora suspects the killer’s much closer to home.

My rating: ★★★★☆

Okay, I want to start off this review by saying that I ADORED Dante! He is just so funny and so much fun and so totally adorable... *sighs* Enough said, I loved him :) And that texting exchange between Aurora and him on chapter 11...it was HOT! I loved it!

As for Aurora, she was more, um... stable in this book. What I mean by that is that in the last book her actions were all over the place and the sudden change of her emotions gave me a whiplash. In Northern Bites, however, I actually really liked her! She is very strong willed, brave, smart, and just a really good human being... err, whatever she is now, lol.

And then there's Val (who, as you may recall, was a total bitc- ahem... she was a jerk-face)... I actually didn't hate her, believe it or not. She was just very feisty on missions, but very cool-headed when need be. It was very nice seeing this other side of Val, the non-slutty side of her ;) Now I'm wondering what will happen to her after that little stunt she pulled. One thing is for sure: she's got guts, and I like that about her!

Fane...I still don't exactly love him =/ In fact, after that crazy ending, I dislike both him AND Noel! I really liked Noel, but there something up with her lately and I'm wondering what in the world that is.

Speaking of the ending, holy crap! I actually really liked Marcus because he was just a very fun character, but boy did he surprise me. The poor unsuspecting human...

To wrap things up, I thought the storyline was very interesting and kept me hooked all the way through to the very last page. Let me warn you, though, this book falls more under the New Adult genre than the YA genre due to that one scene that practically made me blush ;) Mmm... not that I minded ;)

Anyway, I also really like Nikki's new take on vampires and vampire hunters. So if you are looking for something new in the genre, I think I found your new favorite series :)

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
