Sunday Post #87: So much Netflix! (+ Another Update...)

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week! Let's get started!

2016 needs to go back to sleep and come back when it's in a better mood... Here I was, ready to come back to blogging after being sick for so long when nope, the universe had other plans for me.

Where have I been, you're asking (probably)? I'll tell you where I've been: Home. Nursing my injuries. What injuries? I'll tell you that too: I was in a freaking car accident the 1st week of February (a month from yesterday, if I want to be exact)! Seriously, this year has not been good to me so far, ugh! But I guess I should start of by saying that I'm fine, really.

I don't exactly remember what happened 'cause I blacked out, but it was one day on my way home from work. I hit my head somewhere (window maybe?) and I had bleeding under my scalp. My scalp was tender for a couple of days and all that blood, because of pressure and gravity, actually ended pooling around my eyes so it looked like I got into a bar fight with my two black eyes, haha. It actually looked a lot worse than it was. I also had a ton of bruises where my seat belt held me back (thank god for that!), but all the bruising is pretty much gone now. My right shoulder was also hurting quite a bit, but I've started going to the chiropractor for that and it is doing so much better! Nothing was broken, just bumps and bruises.

So that's where I've been... *sigh* Anyway, onto more cheerful things:

Things I've watched:

I watched Deadpool the weekend it came out and it was so awesome! I absolutely loved it! I am so excited this year for all the amazing (superhero) movies that will be coming out!! Eeeeep! :D

New International Poster for DEADPOOL - Bad Ass Smart Ass Great Ass:

And because for the last month I've been home most of the time resting, I spent a lot of time on Netflix. One TV show I finally started watching is Arrow, and I LOVE it! It is SO good! I don't know why I didn't start it sooner! I am absolutely in love with it!

Seriously though, the plot is really good. #Arrow:
Swoony face

But seriously, it is a great show! In fact, I watched season one in two days... TWO!! Season 4 is currently airing on TV but Netflix only had 3 seasons and I'm all done with them and now I don't know what to do I must catch up somehow I am going through withdrawals! *takes deep breath* Amazing show! Highly recommend :)

Tv Shows Over The World: Arrow 2012-2015:

Another show I finally started watching is Shadowhunters, and I actually really like it! I like this cast so much better than the movie one, even though I haven't actually seen the movie. But after I found out who they cast as Jace for the movie I refused to watch it. I am curious, but in the end I decided to not go there. I mean, have you seen our new Jace?! He is gorgeous! And so is Alec, for that matter! I don't think I've ever shipped Malec so hard as I do in the TV show!

Jace Wayland #Shadowhunters coming in 2016: Katherine McNamara: “Matt and his puppy parabatai Sophie.” / Shadowhunters TV Show News:

Of course, it has its problems, but overall I am loving it! This reminds me, I've only read the first three books in TMI because that was at the point when we all thought there was only going to be three, and it's been forever now and I still haven't read the last three books in the series! Since the TV show came out, it has motivated my to finish the series and maybe even re-read those first three books. It's kind of exciting! :D
Do you guys watch it? What do you think? Also, if you guys watched the movie, let me know what you thought! I am incredibly curious (yet I refuse to watch it, haha)!

I watched many other movies on Netflix as well, and one worth mentioning is Neverlake. I actually watched this two days ago. In the beginning I was kind of "ehh" about it, only having caught my eye 'cause it was a horror movie, but in the end, it was much more complex than I thought and I really liked it. I actually didn't think it was all that scary, but what I might find "not very scary," other people might find horrifying, so keep that in mind ;) But yeah, I really liked it, especially with that huge twist in the end. It was very dark and so messed up I was actually nearly crying by the end. Sooo yeah...

I've gone for fairly simple these past couple of weeks. I'm actually wearing something different on my hands right now but I'm too lazy to take a pic now, lol. I'll show you guys next week, hopefully!

  2. Ah! I was wondering why I had not seen you back in my feed yet :/ I hope you are healing well - car accidents are no fun at all, I am sorry that it happened to you.

I wanted the first 2 seasons of Arrow with my hubby and really liked it, then we found other things to watch and haven't stated up again - I think the new season is on Hulu... just sayin'
I have been watching Shadowhunters too, and am in the same boat - read three books FOREVER ago, I did see the movie- it was SOOOOO bad. I am liking the show though but sometimes I feel like the acting is really bad :/
I hope you get well soon and that 2016 starts looking up for you. <3
