Favorite Books I’ve Read So Far in 2018

We are pretty much halfway done with the year, so I thought I’d take a look back at what books I’ve read so far and absolutely loved! I don't have a nice even number of books, but that's because a bunch of them are part of a series. Lol.

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3)

First up, Shadowhunters. Need I say more? Lol. I just love this world and I am so glad I was finally able to finish The Infernal Devices after so long! Even though Clockwork Princess broke my heart over and over and over. It's such an amazing series and I loved it!

Blue Eyes and Other Teenage Hazards (Pullman High, #1) All's Fair in Love, War, and High School (Pullman High #2) Revenge of the Cheerleaders (Pullman High #3)

Surprise, surprise, it's a contemporary series! You know I don't read a lot of contemporary, so this is pretty odd for me. But Janette Rallison's books are just amazing! This Pullman High series was super cute and funny and while each book follows a different protagonist, it all takes place in the same high school. I really liked it!

The Betrayal (The Fear Street Saga, #1) The Secret (The Fear Street Saga Trilogy, #2) The Burning (The Fear Street Saga Trilogy, #3)

And of course, Fear Street. I am constantly reading Fear Street, and this month I finally got to the Fear Street Saga, where it all began. These 3 books right here are possibly some of the best Fear Street books ever. It is just amazing. It tells the story of the Fears (the family Fear Street was named after) from way back in the 1800 and spanning almost 200 years. It is just filled with absolute horror and we see why Fear Street is the way it is—because the Fear family is pretty much cursed. It's so amazing and I highly recommend it, especially if you ever wondered about the origins of the Fear family and the infamous street.

Haunted (Fear Street, #7) Final Girls Holding Court

One more Fear Street book! Haunted has a ghostie and an unexpected plot twist I very much enjoyed! Final Girls was such a well written thriller! I really enjoyed it and all the crazy plot twists. And in case you're not a huge horror fan, a Final Girl is a term used to reference the last girl standing at the end of a horror movie who goes up against The Big Bad. And Holding Court was another super cute read, but this one with a murder mystery! I absolutely loved it!

So far this year I have read 28 book, but these 11 books are the ones I have absolutely loved and I highly recommend them!
Let me know which books have been your favorite 2018 reads so far!

  1. I need to finish reading The Infernal Devices. I read Clockwork Angel a few years back and still need to continue on with the series. I now own all three books, so hopefully that will happen soon. I also love RL Stine's books.
