Synopsis:

This is a Novella of 15K.

For Fans of CLOCKWISE.

Ever wonder how Nate got talked into asking Casey to dance on a dare? And what it felt like for him to experience 1860? How he really felt about Casey Donovan? Now you can know!!

My rating: ★★★☆☆

So this short story is a companion novella to Clockwise, and it’s told in Nate’s POV from when he first asks Casey for a dance to when they go back in time. And it was a lot of fun! It was cute and I absolutely loved Clockwise, so it was cool seeing things from his POV.

But... so many ughhhs. So many. Nate there at the beginning was SO superficial and I hated it!

Jessica had staked a claim and I’f just gone along with it. She was cute, if note a little possessive, but she did that job of holding the female tide back until the novelty of my arrival wore off. I didn't see us staying together past my upcoming graduation. She more of a place holder, but at least she was easy on the eyes.

See what I mean?! Not a fan. And later on he mentions how he doesn’t really like her half the time but that she served her purpose? Dude! Not okay! Yeah, she’s sounds like an awful person, but she is a person. But he was actually very sweet with Casey and very protective of her, so I don’t know what his deal is.

However, I did enjoy the read. These little insights into Nate’s brain regarding Jessica really irked me, but when he was with Casey he was such a different person... and I liked that person so much better!

I’m really looking forward to reading more of this series!

  1. Yeah, that attitude of Nate's would drive me crazy! I enjoy novellas in which authors give readers more insight into characters from series.
