Lili Lost in a Book: Sunday Post #459: The Stress...

What I've been doing:

I have been working on this bookish puzzle on and off for the last week or so, and I forgot to mention it last week. Lol.

Anyway, work was stressful this week. And it's things that are out of my control, and I'm just like, what do you want from me? There is nothing *I* can do. It's frustrating. On a lighter note, I did take my patient to the library again this week on Friday. It was nice after such a stressful week. (Here she is reading her book 😭 She also loves to read, and I'd like to think that I'm partly to thank for that 😂)

What I've been watching:

I just started season 15 of Criminal Minds. After, I'm going to rewatch season 1 of Criminal Minds Evolution before I start season 2, because I've been meaning to watch it, I've just been behind. Lol.

What I've been playing:

I played a lot of Sims this week. Listen, I was stressed. Lol. Anyway, I went back to my Very Veggie legacy. It had been a while since I played in this save, but I finally finished all of my first gen's goals! The last goal she needed to complete was have her small business have 5 stars.

As for the kids aka the second gen...

I actually had them do like two aspirations each AND I maxed out ALL of their child skills! And they finished all this a day shy of their birthday! I wasn't going to work them this hard, but with my first gen finishing all her goals, there wasn't much to do besides focus on the kids.

I've already decided that Amethyst is going to be my heir for the next gen. The moment the twins were born, I picked her as my heir. Anyway, here she is working on some skills, including gardening (it's her dad's garden but he's really bad at keeping up with it 😂 And one of her goals later will be to grow eggplants, so getting her started early on gardening won't hurt).

As for her brother, I decided to take him on the more creative route, following in his parents' footsteps.

Look at how cute this is! His dad teaching him knitting! 😭 I decided that since he's my spare, I'm gonna have him inherit and take over his mom's small business, and doing all this with him, idk... he's kinda becoming my favorite 👀 Which I'm leaning into! The next generation has the evil trait and they're meant to just be terrible people, breaking up couples and cheating on their own partners. So, taking that into account, if Amethyst's brother is also the favorite of their parents, maybe that's where her villain origin story starts. I like it 😆 Her brother is going to have a nice life, meanwhile Amethyst is going to grow up bitter from all the attention her brother gets, and break hearts left and right when she's an adult just out of spite 😆 But anyway, here is Amethyst aged up into a teen (since they are the eggplant generation, their color theme is obviously purple lol):

Moving on! The new rewards event started on Tuesday and I was SOOO excited! Here's is all the new stuff we got this week:

I have one save that I use specifically for these events. The Sim I'm using for this event is Aubrey:

I don't remember if I shared her before, but there she is! She is SO cute! And the glasses she is wearing in the 3rd pic above are glasses we got as part of the event! They are very cute!

And just as a reminder, here is her family. I used her dad's side of the family for the rewards event that happened this past winter, and I used her mom's side of the family for the Reapers rewards event that happened the Fall before.

Because this is the Nature's Calling event, I figured that it would be perfect if she joined the Scouts, and she already got all the badges! I actually ended up playing in this save for longer than I intended. Lol. I was just having a lot of fun! My original plan was to age her up into a young adult to play with her in this event, but then I decided to do it while she's still a teen so that when the new pack comes out, I can play with her as a young adult then. BUT I played so long that it's almost her birthday anyway! Lol. I may have to pause aging or lengthen it or something, because we still have like 3 more weeks of this event 😆

But anyway, here is her Grouch of a father demanding Father Winter (his DAD) show proof of his powers 😂 Also, her friend came over to visit, and the teens decided to do their homework and have a whole conversation in the parents' bedroom... while they were sleeping 🤦‍♀️😂

Omg, and then we had a ghost haunting their house at the same time that they were getting burgled 😭

It was chaotic, to say the least. But we made the ghost useful since it was difficult to get rid of her, so we forced her to help Aubrey with her school project 😂

And then, on a whim, I let Aubrey go to prom (more often than not, I'll skip it tbh), and she ended up winning prom royalty??? I was NOT expecting that! But go her! Lol. And then after prom, she hung out with her friend (the guy with the blue hair, I used his mom for the Blast from the Past event that happened earlier this year).

Moving on... once again! Lol. (I switched between saves a lot this week. Lol.) I also played quite a bit of my Super Sim save, but I didn't take many screenshots because nothing too exciting happened. She was just grinding skills and aspirations. She completed the writing and music-related skills and aspirations. And after a hard week of work when New Year's rolled around, she drank... a lot. She double-fisted those drinks, even 😂 Girl, you do you. You deserve it. Lol.

I also had her do the Writer career, and after that, she did the Style Influencer career. The thing with that career is, the auto-generated outfits are always atrocious 😂 ALWAYS! This one, in the second pic above, is actually not that bad. That is one of the more normal-looking Stylist outfits I've had generated 😂 But yeah, Lacey is doing great. Up next, I want to have her work on some more creative skills (painting, pottery, knitting, etc), but I want to build her a new house before that.

Moving on, one more time, some drama. I made this Sim below. Except that wasn't what she originally looked like because the first time I was in CAS, my computer crashed 2 minutes from me finishing 😭 And the problem is, you can't save the game while you're in CAS 😭😭 Anyway, I liked how she turned out. She looks nothing, and is dressed nothing like the other Sim I made, but I think she looks cute.

And the reason I made her is because I wanted to do another Bingo card. And this is the card I'm gonna be working on with her:

I'm really not looking forward to having twins (or triplets, god forbid) 😭 But we have done two of these prompts already (we fought Katrina and took a selfie with Ghost Bella. Lol. She is unfortunately dead in this save right now 😂).

AND there's finally a Steam sale going on! I haven't browsed the games too much, I just went in and bought the 3 things I wanted. So I got both House Flipper 1 and 2 because it was literally $2 cheaper than if I had gotten House Flipper 2 by itself. Lol. Very strange, but I'm gonna take it. Lol. I played one level of that and I liked it. Though now I know what people mean when they say that they get motion sickness from the camera. It is not great 😬 I also started the Shrek DLC of Power Wash Simulator, and while I haven't finished this level yet, I'm still very excited to have it. Lol.
