My Year in Books: 2025

I did not have a great reading year... I mean, 66 is not bad at all, but I was just in this horrible reading slump for most of the year, and that really affected things. But my goal was 52 and I definitely achieved that. Lol.

A fantasy book is always my longest book. This year, it was the second book in the Mistborn series! I freaking love that series!

My average book length is a lot lower than usual because I read a ton of manga this year. It was the only thing keeping me afloat. Lol.

This one makes A LOT of sense. Lol. One is a super popular sci-fi book that will have a movie coming out soon (SO excited!), and the other is a short essay style novelette about writing. Lol.

My average rating went down 0.1 this year 😅 But it's still not too bad!

This makes me really happy 😌 It may not have a lot of ratings, but the ratings it does have are on the higher end of the spectrum. And very well deserved too!

29k minutes is crazy work 😅

August was my most read month... I'm pretty sure it was a bunch of manga. Lol.

Fantasy and horror were my top genres last year too. Lol.

And last year, my top author was a different manga author/artist! Lol.

Idk how accurate this is, but I feel like it's missing some years. Lol. I haven't taken a look at my spreadsheet with all my reading stats yet.

And something new on this site this year is that it asked me to rank my top books! Honestly, I just went with my gut on these, and this is the list it came out with:

 

These are definitely not the same as my actual top 10, but I don't hate the list. I loved all of these books. And yes, I would say the two Mistborn books are definitely my top 2 this year 😆
