Synopsis: White Blood Cell, Red Blood Cell, Macrophage, and the cute little Platelets face a threat unlike any they've ever dealt with before: COVID-19! But even this threat can be defeated, as long as everyone works together. The uplifting and informative series comes to a close with one last tour of the hardworking body, featuring "left shift" in the blood, retinal degeneration, and a simple bump on the noggin. But, of course, as long as there's a job to do, this team won't quit!

My rating: ★★★★☆

In this last volume of the series 😭, the first chapter revolved around a bump on the head and what happens internally in that situation. I’ll tell you what happens: the little platelets being adorable and working together 🥹

I love them! They are SO cute! Another character I love is White Blood Cell. He is amazing! In the Left Shift chapter, we actually get a flashback with him and Eosinophil, so that was a nice insight into their past. But it also tied into the situation they were dealing with in the present.

The IPS Cells chapter was SO sad! It dealt with rod cells in the eyes dying and how those work with other cells in the body to give a person sight. It was a very interesting chapter, though. The Psoriasis chapter was also interesting because you got to see how an autoimmune response happens and why. This chapter was funny, though it felt kind of unresolved? Idk. And the last chapter was on COVID, and honestly, it was too soon 😭 Even though it’s been 5 years at this point. Lol.

But overall, I really liked this! Which is unsurprising because I watched the anime a while back so I knew I would like the manga too. Lol. I loved all the illustrations, the characters, and the fun banter. Plus, we learned some very interesting things about the human body. I think this is the last volume in the series? I’m not sure, but there hasn’t been a new volume in a while, so. But this was fun!
