I don't know how, but I managed to read 10 books this month! That's a total of 3042 pages, which is 859 pages MORE than last month! 😱
  • 6 were full-length novels, and 2 manga, 1 novella, and 1 light novel
  • 8 were part of a series, and 2 were standalone
  • I started 3 series, and finished 1, and caught up on 1
  • 9 were finished copies and 1 ARC
  • 4 were physical books, and 5 were ebooks, and 1 was an audio/ebook combo
  • 4 were 4.5 stars, 3 were 4 stars, and 3 were 3.5 stars
  • All 10 were traditionally published
  • 6 were by authors I've previously read, and 4 were new to me
  • 3 were adult books, and 7 were YA books
  • All 10 were fiction
  • 2 were action, 4 horror, 1 high fantasy, 1 mystery thriller, 1 cozy fantasy, and 1 sci-fi

Books read this month:

Okay, I'm gonna try to only do one sentence per book because I actually read a lot this month. Lol. First, All Shall Mourn was a disappointing end to the series. Dead Fake, with its Fear Street vibes, was great, though! Predatory Natures was another good one with some unexpected mythology thrown in, which I appreciated. I liked the idea of The Haunted Bookstore and it was actually really cute, but in the end, it was just... fine. I enjoyed Artificial Condition and absolutely love Murderbot!

While I'm not loving this series as much as the Shadowhunter Chronicles, I did enjoy The Ragpicker King overall, and its developing mythos. Not only was Night Terror about a bookstore being held up, but it had a supernatural twist I was not expecting, but loved! Volume 15 of Spy x Family was another great addition to the series. Kaiju No. 8 was very interesting and very fun! As for The Fox and the Devil, I liked the concept and there were some aspects I really enjoyed, but overall it was also just... fine.

Favorite book of the month:

I just really enjoyed the vibe of these. Give me all the lore on a cursed town! 😆

Least favorite book of the month:

None! I liked them all to one degree or another!

  2. Great reading month! Kaiju No. 8 is one I want to get for my school library. Some great books it looks like for the most part. I decided to pass on The Fox and the Devil even though I had an ARC and have loved other books by this author, it just didn't sound like one I was in the mood for. Here's to March being a great reading month for us too!

    1. Kaiju No. 8 was great! I'm sure the kids would like that one! And maybe it's a good thing you passed on the ARC... I think I liked the concept of the book more than the execution tbh 😬
