February 2026 TBR

Oh. My. God. My January TBR went SO well! I am truly shocked. Lol. Let's do another tbr and see what happens in February because I really don't know how long this may last 😅😂

Last month, I had picked out 5 different prompts (I think I may have added the 5th one after I posted my TBR 😅), and I actually managed to read everything on my list! Ah!

I am usually so bad at sticking with TBRs, but I think it helped that I only had 5 books on it this last month. And they were also books that I was already eyeballing to read soon. Lol.

This month I have randomly chosen 5 prompts from my reading challenges + 1 additional one from my Go with the Flow reading challenge where there is one prompt per month. So here is what I got:

Going through and selecting books, I found that a lot of them would overlap, and I'd be able to fill more than one category with one book (unless it's from the same challenge. And I did pick 3 prompts from one challenge, actually lol. But none of those 3 books overlap, so we're good lol)! If I did this, I literally would only have THREE books on my tbr, even though I have 6 prompts 😂 That's actually pretty good, but I ended up adding 3 more books I wanted to read just to have more variation. Lol. But really, I only need to read one book per category. And sometimes those books overlap categories 😏

A mystery

The first prompt I picked was from the This Challenge Killed the Bookworm reading challenge, and I have to read a book with a mystery for this one. The one I was planning to go with was All Shall Mourn, but I may read Dead Fake instead. Honestly, I want to read both. Lol.

Book with twins

The next prompt is from the Candy Reading Challenge, where I have to read a book with twins, and I'm not gonna lie, I was worried about this one at first. I was like, "How am I supposed to know what books have twins??" And then I remembered that All Shall Mourn has twins!! So I originally picked this book for this prompt, but then I realized that this book fits A LOT of the following prompts I picked out, too!

Pretty cover

So, I shoehorned in The Ragpicker King in this one (the prompt is also from the This Challenged Killed the Bookworm reading challenge) because I just really want to read it and it didn't fit any other prompts 😆 I do think the cover is pretty though--I really like the illustrations and silhouettes. But I also think that Predatory Natures, which was my first choice for this prompt, is the prettier (yet creepy lol) cover. Lol. I don't know which of these two I'm reading yet for this prompt.

Book set in a shop OR treat yo self

This prompt is also from the This Challenged Killed the Bookworm reading challenge, and this one is called Retail Therapy, where I either have to read a book that takes place in a shop OR I go out and treat myself. Well, this book worked out for BOTH options because I had to go out and buy it in order to read it 😂 This will also work perfectly for another challenge, specifically on Goodreads, where I have to read a book outside my comfort zone. I might be cheating a little there, but this will be the first light novel I read!

Author's first name starts with 'A'

I had originally picked Predatory Natures for this prompt (from the A-Z Reading Challenge), when I also realized that this would work for other prompts. I was having a hard time coming up with a book that would fit this prompt when I came across this book and I was like, "Oh yeah, that's gonna work." Lol.

Author shares at least ONE initial with the person who gifted January’s book

Now do you see why I say I could easily finish these prompts by only reading THREE books? 😂 Anyway, I don't think I'm going to do that. Lol. This last prompt is from the Go with the Flow challenge I was talking about earlier, and the January book it's talking about is the Junji Ito book I read last month that was gifted to me by my cousin. So now what I have to do is read a book where the author shares an initial with her, and I picked these three as my options! But to be honest, I think I might go with Artificial Condition just because I really want to read some Murderbot 😆

So, am I going to read 3 books or 6 this month? I really don't know. I think I'm going to attempt to read all 6, though The Ragpicker King is a pretty long one and I've read a lot of long fantasy books lately. Although Warbreaker was longer and it was good, and I managed to read that one before the month was over. Idk. We'll see. Lol.

Let me know if you've read any of these books or what is on your TBR for the month! 😊
