Synopsis: Jugo and Bazz spent their childhood together, but their paths diverged once they met Yhwach. They now stand against each other as enemies, but what's truly in their hearts? Meanwhile, Kenpachi and Mayuri face off against the weirdest Quincy yet!

My rating: ★★★★★

In the last volume we saw some flashbacks from Haschwalth and Bazz-B, and in this one we get a bit more of that. We see them and their friendship and how they joined Yhwach. But now, in the present, these friends are fighting. In the flashbacks, Bazz-B was kind of a dick friend, but even then, seeing these two friends fight in the present was kind of sad. Which is something I never thought I would say, seeing as how they're the enemies and all. Lol.

We also get more Zaraki and Kurotsuchi interactions, which is just so much fun! One just wants to kill things and ask questions never, and the other is very analytical and just wants to see how things work. So these two total oppositions trying to work together is just a blast! Especially when they’re up against a foe that will definitely test them. My dudes, you guys gotta work together! Lol.

One of my favorite things from this volume is that we got a lot of Nemu action! I really like her! I feel like Kurotsuchi wants her to be almost like a robot and be compliant to everything, but every once in a while she’ll do these little things that defy him but make her more human and I just... I love it 🥰 I hate how Kurotsuchi treats her—she is so sweet!

We also see a fight with Nemu that was absolutely incredible! It was very cool and I enjoyed every minute of it! And we get a bit of background info on her and how she was made, so I really enjoyed that as well.

Overall, I really enjoyed this volume. I loved the character interactions between Zaraki and Kurotsuchi, and I really enjoyed all the Nemu scenes!
