Synopsis: She ran, but she couldn’t hide.
When Quinn escaped the Federation, she took her kids into hiding. But a message from Tony brings her back to the stars. She owes him—and his family. And they’ve called in the favor.
Quinn agrees to risk her life to help Tony, as long as the family keeps her kids safe. She must follow the breadcrumbs to find him and hope she doesn’t leave behind a trail for the Feds.
Because the Federation doesn’t forget when a death row inmate escapes. And they never forgive.
Another fun sci-fi read from Julia Huni.
In Krimson Run Tony saved Quinn from the Federation and being unfairly executed. Well, in this book, the tables are turned and Quinn goes to Tony to lend some help because he has found himself in some trouble. I really enjoyed this book! I liked the story that was told—it was pretty relatable which is one thing I liked about it. And it was also very tense because all of the characters at one point or another found themselves in some pretty perilous situations. Any of them could’ve been found out at any time, and that filled me with anxiety! We’re only two books in and I already love these characters!
I really liked the relationships between the characters as well. I was very iffy about Francine in the last book because she’s part of a rival family of the Marconi’s. But she’s really grown on me and I love her! And I love how she and Quinn have become friends!
And Tony and Quinn... omg I love them! I like their friendship, but remember how in my review of the last book I said that I was hoping for more from them? Well, we still don’t really get that in this book 😂 BUT I do want to talk about the potential there, but I think it might be a little spoiler-y? I’m gonna add a spoiler tag just to be safe.
So yeah, I thought this would be the perfect time for romance, there unfortunately wasn’t any, and I understand why. But I’m still holding out hope! Besides, I’m really enjoying every other aspect of this series! The story was intriguing, the book overall was tense. The end was a little anticlimactic, I’m not gonna lie—the takedown happened off-page. I love action so this sucked for me. But overall, this series so far has been pretty exciting and fun and I’m really looking forward to the next book!

Aw, sad that the romance hasn't happened yet, but maybe it will just be slow and later in the series it will come about like you'd hoped! Great review!

There was a little bit of romance at the end of the series and I ate it up! 😆
