Synopsis:

As the daughter of a Colorado County coroner, seventeen-yearold Cameryn Mahoney is no stranger to death. in fact, she’s always been fascinated by the science of it. so she’s thrilled to finally get some hands-on experience in forensics working as her father’s assistant. but Cammie is in for more than she bargained for when the second case that she attends turns out to be someone she knows—the latest victim of a serial killer known as the Christopher Killer. And if dealing with that isn’t hard enough, Cammie soon realizes that if she’s not careful, she might wind up as the killer’s next victim...

My rating: ★★★★★

The genres I usually read are paranormal/fantasy, and this book is not that. But right away it became one of my favorites! If I didn't mention it before (and I'm sure I have) I am going into the medical field; I also watched a lot of medical shows, one of my favorites being Dr. G Medical Examiner. So yeah, this one caught my attention, and it did not disappoint! I absolutely loved it!!

Cameryn (Cammie) loves the science behind forensics. And she actually just convinced her dad (the county's medical examiner) to let her be his assistant, you know, to get a little experience in the area. Little did she know that her 2nd case would involve someone she knows.

Rachel was Cammie's co-worker and friend, and she was utterly shocked when she found that Rachel would be her 1st autopsy.

It turns out that Rachel was the victim of a serial killer who they call the Christopher Killer. Every time he kills a victim, he leaves a St. Christopher medal behind on the body (that's how he got the name).

Its up to Cammie to figure who this killer is, but if she isn't careful, she might just end up being one of the victims O.O

Who is this oh-so-famous killer? you might be asking. Well, some people were suspecting a Dr. Jewel; he is a psychic and he was the one who found all the bodies of the previous victims of the Christopher Killer. Suspicious, isn't it?

Well, Cammie certainly thought so. I didn't, for some reason. So when she snuck into his hotel room I was like "Just get out before you get caught! He is not the killer."

Overall, like I already said, this was a great book! Lots and lots of mystery plus some suspense and a lot of medical stuff! I even had to pull out my medical dictionary when they were in the autopsy to look up some words, lol. But I didn't mind not knowing, I learned something new! I recommend this to people who don't mind some gruesome scenes. I personally didn't think they were so bad, and I am usually picky about those things, lol.

Anyway, cant wait to read the 2nd book!!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
