Synopsis:

On the night of Skye's seventeenth birthday, she meets two enigmatic strangers. Complete opposites, like fire and ice, Asher is dark and wild, while Devin is fair and aloof. Their sudden appearance sends Skye's life into a tailspin. She has no idea what they want, or why they seem to follow her every move only that their presence coincides with a flurry of strange events. Soon she begins to doubt not just the identity of the two boys, but also the truth about her own past.

In the dead of a bitingly cold Colorado winter, Skye finds herself coming to terms with the impossible secret that threatens to shatter her world. Torn between Asher, who she can't help falling for, and Devin, who she can't stay away from, the consequences of Skye's choice will reach further than the three of them could ever imagine.

My rating: ★★★★★

The night of Skye’s 17th birthday, she meets Asher and Devin. Then she finds out that they have both transferred to her school. There is something strange about these guys...they’re both very mysterious. Claiming to be cousins, Asher and Devin are as opposite as it gets: Asher is all dark, charming, and a total flirt; while Devin is, with his blond hair and intense blue eyes, shy and quiet.

Skye seems to be running into either one or the other or both all too often for it to be a coincidence. There is more to these guys than Skye can imagine…and when she finds out the truth about them, and her for that matter, her world is turned upside down.

Light and dark try to pull her to either side, Skye is still trying to process the truth about herself and her past, and you throw in her possible attraction to both Asher and Devin, and you get a recipe for disaster! But the question is, what/who will Skye choose?

The story was beautifully written; I really enjoyed reading it! In fact, I think I may have read it in one day! When that happens (to me) it usually means it was soooo good that I (almost literally) could not put it down!

The basic plot was great and I really liked all of the diverse characters (especially Asher;)). The ending was whoa! I love twisty endings! What I don’t like, however, are cliffhangers -_- As a writer, I understand that they are fun to write, but as a reader…I swear, they are going to be the death of me! Okay that was slightly dramatic, lol

Anyway, this book is worthy of 5 stars and I am highly anticipating book two!
