Sunday Post #499: Nothing But Superheroes and Zombies

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week!

What I've been doing:

This week at work was ROUGH, holy crap. Spring break did not last long enough 😭 I'm really glad to be working only 4 days a week now, though. I really needed that extra time off. I did nothing but play Resident Evil 2 on Friday, and it was the BEST! 😆

What I've been watching:

I also restarted my MCU rewatch... again. Lol. With the upcoming new Spider-Man and Punisher movies coming out, I really need to catch up! I picked up where I had left off, so this week I watched (in release order) from Spider-Man: Homecoming to Avengers Endgame (I skipped Guardians of the Galaxy 2, though 😅). I watched like one movie a day, sometimes two, depending on my mood. Lol. Anyway, it's been fun! I really miss this era of the MCU! It was SO good! 😭

I've watched this movie so many times, and it still makes me cry! 😭😭

What I've been playing:

I finished Resident Evil 2 on Friday, Claire's run, and it was SO GOOD!! I loved this game!! I'm glad I decided to play it!

And as much as I love Leon, I think I preferred Claire's story more. Plus, she's pretty badass and got all the cool guns. Lol.

I don't think this is too bad, considering I'm still pretty new at playing these games. Lol. Up next (I may start it today), I will be playing Resident Evil 4!

Oh, is that Leon on the cover again? Yes, yes it is 😍 This was actually the game I was going to play after RE9 because my brother said it was good, but then I started doing my own research, and I'm glad I went with RE2 because I really did love it. I'm gonna skip over RE3, it's a pretty divisive game amongst fans because it just leaves out a lot of stuff from the original, and it's a pretty short game compared to others in the series. I did watch some gameplay though, just so I was caught up on the story, and I'm not gonna lie, Jill Valentine is pretty freaking cool 😆 And I actually really loved Carlos in it, too 😍 I may go back and play RE3 in the future, but for now, MORE LEON! 🥰

  1. ahhh I miss that era of Marvel too 😭 The only MCU movies I am excited for these days are the Spiderman ones. Ever since Endgame, it hasn't been the same and it makes me sad in a way.

Glad you have a neverending supply of Leon material 😂😂 That memoir also look pretty cool! Now that you mention it, I haven't listened to FOB in MONTHS. I have to fix that ASAP lol

    1. Omg, right? It just hasn't been the same 😭 The thing I've been into recently is daredevil, and I am so glad they introduced him into the MCU. And the Punisher too 😆

My obsession with Leon is unhealthy. And no, I do not need any help 🤣 Hehe yay FOB! I haven't been listening to the as often anymore, but ever since I put that memoir on my tbr, it's been FOB nonstop. Lol.

  2. Avengers End Game always makes me tear up too! I need to read another memoir, haven't read one in a while. Spring break was definitely too short. My trip was plenty long, but I needed more time doing nothing before back to work this week. Next school year with my new job I'll be in a district that has a 4 day school week so I'm looking forward to that! Have a great week!

    1. I am so happy you got the new job! I cannot wait to see what that'll be like for you next year! Better, I hope! And I totally get doing nothing after a trip and before going to work. As much fun as trips are, I definitely need time to unwind from that and get ready to get back to work. But I'm glad you have the new job to look forward to! Yay!
