Synopsis:
It’s back!
Did the evil spirit really leave Kimmy’s body? The cheerleaders of Shadyside High can still feel its dark presence, and Corky knows that it is out there, somewhere close. And getting closer.
Corky is tormented night after night by dreams of her dead sister, Bobbi. What terrifying message is Bobbi trying to tell her? When the evil begins again—more horrible, more gruesome than ever—Corky knows it is up to her to learn the century-old secrets and destroy the evil spirit’s power for good. But so many have died already—will Corky be next?
Fight, fight, fight or die, die, die!
Poor Corky. Both her sister Bobbi and boyfriend Chip are dead—killed by the evil spirit. But it’s not over yet! The evil spirit is back once again! This time around, the evil spirit possess someone I never would have guessed! I was so surprised to find out who it was in this time. But it was very interesting see it in this perspective and see the internal struggle between host and evil spirit. However, there was one different thing that happened in this book that I didn’t really understand: this time the evil spirit actually let the host remember the things they did while being possessed. It was very strange because in the previous book, Kimmy did not remember at all being possessed, but maybe the spirit is growing weaker as time goes on...?

Synopsis:
Corky Corcoran is sure it's just her imagination when she sees her dead sister rise from the grave. Or is it?
Corky is trying to put the nightmare of Bobbi's death behind her—she's back on the Shadyside cheerleading squad and has become friends with Kimmy and Debra. But everything is not back to normal for Corky—she hears horrible screams in the gym, her friend has become obsessed with the occult, and a strange young man is following her. And then the murders begin again...
Has the evil spirit from the Fear Street cemetery returned to destroy them one by one?
Cheers... from the grave!
Corky is still totally heartbroken over Bobbi’s death, understandably. Corky is really having a hard time putting her life back together—she obsessively goes to Bobbi’s grave, she’s off the cheer team, and to top it all off, some creepy weirdo seems to be stalking her. Oh, and the evil spirit that killed her sister might be back. I think I forgot to mention that. Lol.

Synopsis:
Gin Blanco, aka the assassin the Spider, might have finally killed her nemesis, Mab Monroe, but that doesn't mean that it's smooth sailing. Gin goes to Mab's funeral to say her goodbyes and runs into some of Ashland's most notorious underworld power players, including Jonah McAllister and Phillip Kincaid. McAllister wants her dead, and Kincaid has his own murky motives when it comes to the Spider, and Gin once again finds herself fighting for her life. Only this time, she might wind up in the cemetery right next to Mab.
Thread of Death takes place just after book five, Spider’s Revenge, so there will obviously be spoilers for that book.
One thing I liked about this novella is that not only was it in Gin’s POV, but it also alternated between different bad guys, Mab’s former associates, if you will. It was pretty cool getting these perspectives.

Only took me about a year to get another bookish nail art design out 😅 lol.
Today I have some nail art inspired by...
Spartan Heart (Mythos Academy Spinoff #1)
by Jennifer Estep
Released: December 5th, 2017
New school year, same old problems...
At Mythos Academy, everyone knows exactly who I am: Rory Forseti, Spartan girl and the daughter of Reapers.
Even though I fought alongside my cousin Gwen Frost to save the mythological world from Loki and his evil Reapers of Chaos, I’m still the most hated girl at the academy because of all the horrible things my parents did. I had hoped that this school year would be different, but the other kids just won’t let me forget about my parents.
But something strange is going on at the Colorado academy. First, I run into a Viking guy who dislikes me more than most. Then I notice some odd artifacts in the Library of Antiquities. And worst of all, I start hearing rumors about a new group of Reapers who can summon mythological monsters.
I might be the most hated girl at Mythos Academy, but I’m also the only one who can save it...

Everything seemed normal, but at Mythos Academy, that was usually when things got the most dangerous.
If you’ve been here awhile, you know I’ve mentioned how Mythos Academy is one of my most favorite series ever, time and time again. So it should be no surprise that I absolutely loved Spartan Heart as well! Rory appeared in the last two books of the Mythos Academy series, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out that she was getting her own series! It was the best news ever, and now that I read the book, it did not let me down one bit!

Ring in the new fear.
P.J. wasn’t supposed to die. It was just a practical joke, no big deal. But P.J. had a bad heart...
The kids at Reenie’s Christmas party couldn’t tell the police what they’d done, so they hid the body... and then it disappeared.
Now someone is killing them, one by one. Someone is taking P.J.’s revenge... but who?
By midnight they’ll know. Because when the clock chimes, they’ll all get a kiss. The kiss of death.
When midnight strikes... they all die.
Reenie and her friends love pulling pranks on each other—these stupid games where they try to scare the crap out of each other by pretending to be dead.
Maybe we should stop playing this game, Reenie thought. Maybe we should stop right now—tonight—before someone goes too far.

Bookish Stats of 2017!
This post was inspired by Angie who used to blog at Pinkindle, who actually stopped blogging not too long ago and that makes me so sad because I loved her content! But she's still over on Goodreads, so that's good! Lol. Anyway, I complied some statistics over the last year of some bookish things and I thought they would be interesting to share!
