Synopsis:

For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought.

Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

My rating: ★★★★★

This book was just...wow! I don’t even know if I can put my thoughts into a coherent review, but I’ll try!

Clara believes that she failed at her purpose. Christian obviously didn’t need saving, so why where they supposed to meet in the burning forest? Clara tries to figure out if there’s more to her purpose and its connection to Christian. We all know Clara loves Tucker not Christian...right? But the more time she spends with Christian, plus the visions she’s been having lately, only confuse her more. She wants to be with her true love, Tucker, but the visions of her and Christian together won’t go away! It’s like they’re destined to be together! Clara doesn’t know if she should give in to fate or follow her heart.

While she tries to figure out the mess above, in these visions she’s been having lately...well, they’re very strange. They tell her that someone close to her, who she loves, is going to die! Who? Well, I’m not telling, heh. But Clara is freaking out!

Oh, did I mention the Black Wing that is still after her? No? Well, yes, there’s that too. Clara has so much on her plate I don’t know how she deals with it all!

When I read Unearthly, last year I totally fell in love with it! It has become one of my favorite books! And Hallowed did not disappoint either! I loved it! It was amazing and sent me on an emotion rollercoaster that was quite intense. I cried, I laughed, I was in shock, I swooned, I cried some more...I like a book with feeling :)

The book had a lot of suspense and plenty of surprises…I LOVE books with a little (or a lot) of twists and turns, and this one...oh my! Crazy stuff went down! Which I refuse to tell you about because I’m trying to be good and not post any spoilers in my reviews :)

So to summarize, the book is absolutely amazing, this is one of my favorite series, which everyone should read because it’s amazing! Oh I said that already, woops! If you like angel books, this is the series to read!

All that’s left to say is: Team Tucker!! At the end of Hallowed, I wasn’t sure where Clara and Tucker stood in their relationship =/ But I still adore him!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
