Synopsis: When Lizel mysteriously finds himself in a city that bears odd similarities to his own but clearly isn't, he quickly comes to terms with the unlikely truth: this is an entirely different world. Even so, laid-back Lizel isn't the type to panic. He immediately sets out to learn more about this strange place, and to help him do so, hires a seasoned adventurer named Gil as his tour guide and protector.

Until he's able to find a way home, Lizel figures this is a perfect opportunity to explore a new way of life adventuring as part of a guild. After all, he's sure he'll go home eventually... might as well enjoy the otherworldly vacation for now!

My rating: ★★★★☆

This was such a fun manga! I really liked the premise of it! Basically, a nobleman named unexpectedly finds himself in an alternate universe that closely resembles his own. In this new world, he recruits Gil, an adventurer, to be his tour guide/bodyguard of sorts, and with his help, he explores this new world.

One thing I found hilarious (and a little weird) about this manga was how absolutely unbothered Lizel was about the situation. Like, if I was suddenly transported to another universe I would be freaking out.

Not Lizel though. He was pretty cool about it and took it all in stride, literally turning it into a vacation, as the title suggests 😂 But it was fun! I liked the worldbuilding and I’m really looking forward to learning more about this world.

One aspect of this that I was really enjoyed was the sexual tension between Lizel and Gil 😏 I was actually hoping I wasn’t reading too much into their interactions and that we would get some romance out of it but nooOOOoo. According to the author, this isn’t meant to be BL (boys love), and I am honestly so disappointed by that 😞

Lol. It’s fine though, this was still a solid read and I really enjoyed it. I liked Lizel because he was very relatable...

I liked the character interactions (obviously 😏), I’m very interested in learning more about the world, and I really liked the art style! I'm looking forward to the next one!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a link to your review or comment below! 😊

  1. So, would you say this one could be good for a high school library? I have to be careful about how risque some manga series can get. Great review!
