Synopsis:

Palta learned long ago not to expect a “normal” life. She’d settle for one free of close encounters with supernaturally-gifted homicidal maniacs.

Apparently that’s too much to ask.

Join your favorite Onontian royal family, as they settle into life at the palace...only don’t get too comfortable, because things are about to take a hair-raising turn.

Vitality is the gripping third installment in the Proximity series.

My rating: ★★★★★

Man this book... SO much awesomeness! Also, I'm going to miss this series! I can't believe it's over already! *sad face*

So, in this final installment of the series, Palta, Aeron, and the rest of their family and friends (and, of course, a boatload of security!) go off on a day of cliff jumping fun. But this exhilarating adventure turns sour when Bito Obo decides to make an (indirect) appearance and someone from the group suddenly goes missing. Bito asked for it... It's time to put an end to his dreadful plans once and for all.

Palta has seriously become one of my most favorite characters ever... And not only because she has my favorite supernatural ability of healing ;) She is just so fun and adventurous and spontaneous, with so much sass and sarcasm in her! She is just an overall great character and I'll really miss her. Another thing I'll miss is her and Aeron together because they are just so darn cute!

Palta also likes to bicker with two individuals I really like and will also miss. The first one being Sabala's hubby, Dominick. His back-and-forth brotherly banter with Palta is just very funny and quite amusing. And the other person I'm talking about is Nangi... I love that cranky old man! It's just so funny! And even though he says that Palta annoys him, you can really see that he cares about her... He's almost like an older brother you love to hate... Or maybe even like an uncle. The point is, he's cranky, she annoys him, but he cares for her in his own way.

In this book there was a lot of traveling (err, more like running away) back and forth on the planet and even other planets and galaxies! I really liked exploring and getting to know this foreign place better. Also, there something about the running away from people trying to kill you and just trying to survive (take Kelley Armstrong's Darkest Powers and Darkness Rising series) that I find very exciting and thrilling! I loved it!

Overall, I really, really enjoyed this book! There was alot of adventure in this one, though I was expecting a but more out of the fight scene there at the end...not that it wasn't good! There were a whole lot of wisecracks from Palta, which I absolutely loved! I also really liked those father-daughter moments between Palta and her dad... The were just SO touching! And of course, how can you not love that romance between Palta and Aeron? ;)

Enough said. This book was amazing! I highly recommend the series to those who are looking for something more on the sci-fi side of things with a splash of romance ;)

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
