Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week! Let's get started!
Movies:
Movies I watched this week... first of all, you should realize by now that I watch horror movie practically on a daily basis, lol. I just love them! Anyway, this week I decided that I wanted to see Silent Hill and its sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation.
I've seen Silent Hill maybe once before, I think, but I don't think I saw the whole thing 'cause my attention went elsewhere, lol (happens a lot, haha). Anyway, this second time I watched it I actually liked it a lot! It was super creepy! But then I saw the sequel and I couldn't stop rolling my eyes. First of all, there was a very insta-lovey feel to it with the main character and the boy she meets, and you know how much I hate that. Next, there was just too much--the mythology was expanded upon and some parts didn't make sense with what was said in the movie before and I just didn't like it! They really should've left it like it was in the first one. But I do feel that if I hadn't decided to watch the first movie I would've enjoyed the second one more... maybe? Anyway, Silent Hill, really good! Sequel, not so much.
Next movie I saw was a movie on Chiller (surprised? You shouldn't be! haha) and it was called The Bay. First of all, while I love horror movies, there are certain types I don't like: I don't like watching torture-type movies (Ick! I'm looking at you, Saw!), possession/exorcism type movies (I don't much care for these...), and "documentary"/found footage-type movies (so annoying!) The Bay falls under the category of 'found footage' and I actually liked it! There was no shaky cam which I absolutely HATE--they actually used a lot of security cameras, webcams, and a cameraman who knows what he's doing (he was part of the news crew, so makes sense). The story itself was really interesting and so creepy because I feel like it's something that could actually, maybe, possibly happen? I don't know, but it was good.
Nail Art of the Week:
As for my nail art this week... I don't usually repeat designs, like at all, but this week I just kinda felt like repeating a design I did maybe 2-3 weeks ago?
This is what I'm wearing right now |
I just thought it was SO pretty and I LOVE the color combination! I used a coral and a very shimmery yellow that turned the tips of my nails this salmon-y color. So yeah, that's what I'm wearing :)

Book Haul
So with last week's swag pack that I got I also got a coupon code to get this book for free, so I got it! And it actually sounds very interesting--can't wait to read it!
Ooh I love your nails. How pretty! I really need to do mine; it's been forever. haha
ReplyDeleteThat's great you got some nice movie-watching in!

Thanks! :)
DeleteThat's a shame the SIlent Hill sequel wasn't as good as the first, I don't like it when a sequel doesn't live up to the first book or movie in this case. I don't watch a lot of horror movies as I scare easily.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Dragonball Z series when I was younger, haven't watched any of the movies though. Goku and Trunks were my favourite characters.
Your nails look so pretty! I am nto a fan of painting my nails, but I do enjoy seeing other people their nail art! I hope you have a great week.
I love horror movies! I don't know what it is about it, but I love being scared by them! I guess they're just not for everybody :)
DeleteI also watched the show when I was a kid, but recently got back into it thanks to my younger brothers :) I love Trunks, Future Trunks especially! I have a couple of faorite characters, actually, including the jerk Vegta, cute little Goten, and the Great Saiyaman! haha
Thanks! :)
