Synopsis:

It's been months since the ghost of Anna Korlov opened a door to Hell in her basement and disappeared into it, but ghost-hunter Cas Lowood can't move on.

His friends remind him that Anna sacrificed herself so that Cas could live—not walk around half dead. He knows they're right, but in Cas's eyes, no living girl he meets can compare to the dead girl he fell in love with.

Now he's seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he's asleep and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong...these aren't just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.

Cas doesn't know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn't deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it's time for him to return the favor.

My rating: ★★★★★

I was soo anxious for this book...I couldn't wait to find out what happened to Anna! It was fantastic (though I have to admit, I liked the first book better)!

Forget Romeo and Juliet, I love the story of Anna and Cas! Cas is just awesome, and he's got great supporting characters as friends! Carmel, threw me off a little toward the end, but she totally redeemed herself!

Okay, so I said this already, but I was super anxious to find out what had happened to Anna and if Cas would be able to save her. Because of my stupid anxiousness, I felt like Cas couldn't get to Anna fast enough! I enjoyed him hunting the ghost until he got to Anna, but I just wanted him to save her, like, NOW! But beside that, I thought the book was awesome! It had a lot of great emotion.

I'm sad that it's over...I am seriously going to miss Cas, Anna, Carmel, Thomas, and this whole world Kendare Blake has created. I love horror, I love ghosts, and I love a good romance...this series was just perfect! And although, it's a little sad, I am also happy that Anna got the end she deserved.

I am seriously going to keep an eye out for more work by Kendare Blake...I hear she's got a Greek mythology story coming out soon-ish :D *giddy laugh* You know how I love my mythology ;)

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)

  2. I'm glad you enjoyed this book. I, personally, didn't really like it. The first was fantastic, but this one kind of fell a bit flat for me. I think I built it up too much in my head.

I haven't heard about a new book by Kendare Blake, but I'll definitely have to check it out. Thanks for mentioning it!
