Sunday Post #449: I Thought I Was Getting a Break...

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week!

What I've been doing:

Here I was, all excited to be getting a break when my patient's family was gonna go on a trip... well, very last minute they decided they're not going. But I had already made plans, so I'm still kinda, sorta getting a break. I'll only be working 2.5 days next week then I'm gonna be going out of town, which I am really looking forward to! I need to get away. Lol.

What I've been watching:

I am nearing the end of House. I've enjoyed this show for the most part, though it does have its issues.

What I've been listening to:

I listened to the last two Fall Out Boy albums, and they are just SO good!

After that, I've been listening to a lot of I Previal. Lol.

What I've been playing:

Fair warning: this section is going to be LONG because there was a lot of drama this week with my Sims. Feel free to skip it if you're not interested 😅

First up, my Super Sim. The first aspirations I'm having her complete as a YA are all the ones from the devious category because they're my least favorite. Lol. However, storyline-wise, it fits because in her teen years, she went through a rebellious phase. Anyway, we were over at the Landgraabs just swiping things left and right and we were caught by Nancy. Ooops. Lol. She had this Tiger Badge that she got from another aspiration that helped her get out of this awkward situation, so that was nice. Lol.

The first degree I'm having her do is the villany one, also because it's my least favorite and I'm gonna have her do the criminal career. I should clarify that they are my least favorite for her. All of these can be really fun, but the way I've played with this Sim in the past, she just doesn't strike me as a "bad" Sim, so it feels weird making her do all of this. Lol. But she IS a Super Sim, so she has to do ALL the things. Also, I have her in this university team thing where she apparently got a soccer injury on her ARM? 😂

Oh and then Agnes had the audacity! I didn't even know my Sim knew Agnes, who notoriously hates PDA and will smack the living hell out of your Sims with her purse if she ever catches you. Lol. Well, for her information, my Sim is not, in fact, still seeing Kaleb... or any of the other Sims she dated in her teen years 😅 It was very messy. But like I said, she had a rebellious phase. Lol. But now let's move onto the source of all the drama, my Legacy save!

Last time I played, I aged up my alien sim from a YA to an adult and I decided that she no longer cared whether people knew she was an alien or not, so she has removed her human disguise now for the most part! I love her! Look at how cute she and her husband are! Little did I know the drama that was going to ensue...

We had another death in the family, and one good way to get over any sort of sadness faster is with pets, so I decided to get two! I made this weird alien cat...

And a cyborg dog! He is SO cool! I'm pretending like my alien sim got the cat from her home planet and that her husband, a scientist, made the dog. It's a cute storyline. Lol.

And since he is a scientist, he is more likely to get abducted by aliens, which has happened to him like 4 or 5 times at this point. And it happened again while I was out having his kid play on the monkey bars outside. Lol.

And speaking of the kids, they finally aged up to teens!

Omg look at how disgustingly cute the parents are. They do that autonomously all the time! Lol. Anyway, one of the twins aged up with this skin detail that I could not get rid of in CAS! And here is the thing, this skin detail isn't even available in CAS because it is a gameplay thing that happens to SPELLCASTERS when they're cursed! The twins aren't spellcasters, they're alien hybrids! I was eventually able to remove it by going into CAS with the MCCC mod. Phew. The way this game is so buggy. Lol.

And here are the twins after I gave them a makeover! I ended up changing their hair to pink because I feel like alien traits are dominant, so they would have pink hair. But from infants to children, they don't get the fun hair colors, so they wouldn't be born with it, unfortunately.

Oh, and going back to the death in the family, it was my heir's uncle, so my previous heir's brother.

And here is where the drama starts... I notice this mood buff with the Weird Tummy Ache, and I know exactly what it is... the alien abduction resulted in an alien pregnancy!! 😭 I had tried SO hard to get this sim impregnated in this way by aliens BEFORE he got married because one of the goals for his generation was that he needed to have kids with an alien. But after he was abducted a bunch of times and not pregnant, I had him marry Venus, and they were supposed to live happily ever after, but noooOoo, the game had other plans. I go into MCCC to confirm that he is indeed pregnant with an alien baby 😭 My next heirs just aged up to teens. I was NOT ready for another baby 😭

And the fact that he gets over his midlife crisis at this precise moment?? Insanity. Lol. I feel like I was just entering mine 🤣

But here we are, chugging along with an alien pregnancy he doesn't realize is an alien pregnancy.

A brief interruption of the drama to show you where my teens decided to do their homework, despite all the seats in the house 😭

But back to this miserable guy...

I had them go on a date and the fact that you can see his baby bump as he snuggles with this wife. Lol. Also, she apparently told him where she was from?? Like? I'm pretty sure he's known for a while at this point 😂

Omg, and the morning he went into labor, he woke up, and the first thing he did was sit in bed and cry 😂😭 Oh, I get it, buddy. Lol. But the alien baby was born!

And I strongly considered getting rid of him. I thought about terminating the pregnancy with a mod I have, or there's also an option in-game to send the baby back to its homeworld, but in the end, I decided to keep him. For the chaos. Lol. (Also, I love the fact that my male sim can breastfeed the baby 😆)

As for his actual alien wife...

The story I'm telling is: even though she didn't grow up on Sixam, she knows what her people are like. And she ended up adopting the baby 💖

Venus is clumsy as hell 🤣 But she is a good sim and will be a good mom to this new alien baby... who I named Deimos aka "terror" 😭 (Venus comes from my Mystical Motherhood challenge where I named her and all her siblings after mythological gods and creatures, so I sort brought that over to this save in this generation in particular where one of the twins is named Diana, like the goddess, and now this kid is Deimos. That can't bode well...)
