Fall Readathon: Day 3

I'm late today again, but I was doing things, I swear! 😆 I was cleaning the inside of my car because it really needed it 😬 My car is getting its oil changed later, then I'm gonna take my it through the car wash to get the outside nice and clean too.

Thursday - 12pm

But because of that, I haven't really had time to read today. I have maybe an hour before I have to leave for my appointment, so I'm gonna read a bit before I go. And maybe take some medication because I feel a headache coming on 😩 The cold is on its way out the door, though! I can feel it! (Although, to be fair, I haven't eaten yet either 👀)

Thursday - 4:30pm

Okay, I am back from doing all the things. My car needed an oil change, so I read while I was waiting. I actually got quite a bit of reading done! Then I took my car through the car wash, stopped to pick up some burgers from a local place (SO good!), and then I got home and read a little bit more.

I think I have read my 50 pages today, and I can now officially say that I am INVESTED in this book! There was no doubt in my mind, but again, the 1000+ pages was the thing that was intimidating to me 😆 But I'm loving it! Shallan, the female MC is looking to steal something to help her family, and we all know how I feel about heists 😆 Kaladin, the male MC made it to the battle he was looking to be in... but not in the way he expected. He is in such a rough spot and I feel SO bad! 😭 But I am intrigued by both of these plotlines and I'm curious to see how they intersect.

I might read more, I might not, but I'll be back with one last update later today!

Thursday - 9:30pm

So I started another book 😆 I was actually going to start it yesterday, but then I got sucked into Dressmaker 😂 I read almost 60 pages of this book, and it's just so sad right now 😩 Lots of grief. I'm very curious to see where this goes because, again, I didn't bother to read the synopsis of this book either 😆

And I just wanted to compare the wall of text that The Way of Kings is, which is a fairly large paperback with almost no margins, compared to a more normal-sized paperback. It's crazy! Lol.

But I'm enjoying it nonetheless. However, I think this is where the readathon ends. I have therapy tomorrow morning and then I'm going out of town to somewhere very exciting! I'll tell you guys all about it on Sunday!

Let me know what you've been reading this Summer!
