Synopsis:

SOME NIGHTMARES NEVER END.

For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. They're just trying to carve out a little (secret) time together, but no such luck.

Disturbing things are happening at Fieldridge High, yet nobody's talking. When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open -- but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behavior has grave consequences for them both.

Worse yet, Janie learns the truth about herself and her ability -- and it's bleak. Seriously, brutally bleak. Not only is her fate as a dream catcher sealed, but what's to come is way darker than she'd feared....

My rating: ★★★★★

Wow... I loved this book! Man, I don't know what else to say besides that. Oh wait: I read this book in one day... 5 hours to be exact :D It was just great! Plus, its an easy read.

I totally fell in love Cabel! I think its the fact that he cares so much for Janie, and I guess, we all want someone who will look out for us and cares for us. At least, that's how I feel.

In my opinion, this book was packed with alot of emotion. When Janie found out what her gift (of being a dream catcher) would do to her in the years to come, it was as if I was feeling her fears and her pain. And when she and Cabel stopped talking (yet again) and not knowing why, I felt like crying when she was (my eyes teared up, I'll admit). And then again when they talked things out. I was very happy for them! And I developed a character crush on Cabel :) hehe. Oh gosh, and lets not forget about Durbin and his buddies... I feel disgusted that they are capable of doing such things! And the party... oh boy. I couldn't read it fast enough! The suspense was killing me!

I'm still thinking about it actually. There's something about it that I loved! The way Lisa McMann words things (although I still think her writing style is a little weird) is just amazing! I cannot wait to get onto book 3!
So maybe I should stop gushing over the book (Which I absolutely loved! Wait, I said that already :P hehe), and at least say something about the plot.

So this is Janie's and Cabel's senior year, and Janie is now working with Cabel and Captain as and undercover investigator, I guess you could say. Her ability of being sucked into other peoples dreams is actually very helpful, which is one of the reasons why Captain recruited her. Cabel and Janie's next assignment is to figure out if there is a sexual predator among the teachers of the school. Scary right? Even scarier: Janie will be the bait.

So while juggling her "gift" and this very dangerous assignment, Janie and Cabel must hide their relationship for work purposes.

Although the writing style is a little different than I'm used to, I thought this book was amazing! I know, I said that about a million times in this review, lol! But that's how I feel. I loved it and I'm hoping the final book want be a let down for me. I have to admit, Wake was a little slow paced, but trust me (or not...whatever, lol), it gets better!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
