Synopsis: The dark power of the Fear family consumes all those connected with it. No one can escape the evil of the family's curse—not even the Fears themselves.

Savannah Madison doesn't believe that. She marries Tyler Fear. But then she goes with him to Blackrose Manor. That's when the deaths begin. That's when she learns his terrible secret.

My rating: ★★★☆☆

I have been reading Fear Street books since I was in middle school and I remember that this was one of the first books I ever read. I didn’t remember any of the story when I read this now, but I distinctly remembered that cover.

(The other book I clearly remember being one of my first Fear Street books was Prom Queen, which is currently being turned into a movie and I am SOOO excited! But I digress lol.)

One thing I’m really enjoying about this Fear Street Sagas series is that it has been heavily featuring the Fear family. I always love when they and their evil magic are included! It’s one of my favorite things in the Fear Street universe! This book follows sisters Victoria and Savannah and the eventual marriage between Savannah and Tyler Fier. Yep, Fier. This was way before Simon Fier changed his name to Simon Fear... like that changed their bad luck lmao.

This book was fine. It was one of those books I didn't love but also didn’t hate. It was weird... the characters made some questionable decisions, but the mystery was interesting enough. One thing I always enjoy about these books is the creepy descriptions and the horrific deaths—those are always fun! There was one plot twist at the end having to do with Tyler that I thought was ridiculous in the best way possible—it was a very Fear Street thing to do and it was just great 😆 But yeah, this was a good read overall.

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a link to your review or comment below! 😊
