Synopsis:

I’ve seen so many freaky things since I started attending Mythos Academy last fall. I know I’m supposed to be a fearless warrior, but most of the time, I feel like I’m just waiting for the next Bad, Bad Thing to happen. Like someone trying to kill me—again.

Everyone at Mythos Academy knows me as Gwen Frost, the Gypsy girl who uses her psychometry magic to find lost objects—and who just may be dating Logan Quinn, the hottest guy in school. But I’m also the girl the Reapers of Chaos want dead in the worst way. The Reapers are the baddest of the bad, the people who murdered my mom. So why do they have it in for me?

It turns out my mom hid a powerful artifact called the Helheim Dagger before she died. Now, the Reapers will do anything to get it back. They think I know where the dagger is hidden, but this is one thing I can’t use my magic to find. All I do know is that the Reapers are coming for me—and I’m in for the fight of my life.

My rating: ★★★★★

So, in this Mythos Academy novel, Gwen looks for the Helheim Dagger that her mother hid. She must find it before the Reapers get their evil hands on it, and his it again in a more secure place. Will she be able to find it before the Reapers do? And most importantly: will she be able to do it without getting killed??

Oh I loved this book! I cannot say this enough: I LOVE this series! It's just the best! So you can imagine how excited I was when I found out that Dark Frost was on Netgalley! It was a very nice surprise :)

Anyway, I loved that there was action right from the start of the book, I loved the storyline...it definitely kept me interested and entertained, and I loved the characters! Gwen turned out to a strong character, even though she isn't the best fighter and she's just figuring out how she can defend herself with her powers. The oh-so-sexy Logan...well, what can I say about him? I nearly melt every time he's mentioned. I have a weakness for bad boys ;) and I just adore him to death! Daphne, who has developed a totally awesome power, and Carson are just sooo cute together! They make great supporting characters. And then Nott came along...she was such a great surpise! I love her...even though her ending wasn't the happiest...but she left us behind Nyx, who is totally adorable!

And, of course, I LOVED the mixture of Greek and Norse mythology! Jennifer does a fantastic job intertwining these two and creating one amazing world...it's awesome! Jennifer Estep rocks my socks! And you know me, I love my mythology ;)

Oh I can't wait for the next book!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
