But Death always meets its quota, and Alyssa is number one on its list. Every choice counts.

With new love brewing and friendships on the line, what happens when chances run out?

My rating: ★★★★☆

I enjoyed this book much more than I expected! I mean, it was practically Mystery Spot (that's an episode of Supernatural, btw ;)) but in book form! Basically, this happened...

This is one of those episodes I can watch over and over again.

Alyssa just keeps dying and dying and living the same week over and over. The Fates (as in the Greek mythology Fates) know something about Aly's future that no one else knows about, not even Aly herself. Enter David, some sort of (gorgeous!) guardian angel sent to watch over Aly. The romance was a little slow starting and kind of cheesy once it got going. But overall, I gotta say that I really liked David! He was very sweet!

I really enjoyed the story itself. I don't usually read books with strong themes, I'm more of a light, fluffy-read kind of girl. But this book really made it work! Sexual predators, murderers... crazy people everywhere, I tell ya! And it just made the story that more heartfelt! I really felt sympathetic toward the characters, Aly and her best friend, especially.

And the whole thing with living the same week over and over, you'd think it wouldn't be so interesting, but you'd be wrong! Every week was different, with Aly trying to figure out how to make it through the week without dying while trying to help the people around her. It was very interesting to see the different choices she made and the outcomes that came along with them.

Overall, I really liked it! That ending though, it killed me!! After all that craziness I'm really looking forward to seeing where the story will be headed next and see what the Big, Important Thing in the future is in store for Alyssa. I'm actually kind of disappointed that we didn't learn about it in this book. But I'm really looking forward to fining out what it is!
