I went to the Haunted Farmers Market in Tacoma last Sunday, and it was a lot of fun!
There were a lot of spooky things to see, and even people dressed up. It was fun! There weren't as many vendors as I was anticipating, but I think that's because a lot more vendors show up during October, which makes sense. I may go back then to check it out again.

I got this library art print that I fell in love with. I haven't hung it up yet. Lol.
I also got some snacks, of course. We traveled about 3 hours there, and on the way back, my little ghost cookie arrived decapitated and without an arm 😭😂 He was good though. Lol.
I am on season 4 of Schitt's Creek and I am having a blast!
One thing I didn't mention last week is that I started playing in my Alien Takeover Challenge save again! In this challenge, the goal is for the alien mom to have a bunch of alien babies to take over the world. Lol. She's already taken over Willow Creek, and now we're just about done taking over Oasis Springs. (That just means we need to have 3 offspring in each house of the world. Also, she kills her kids' parents. Lol.)
So in the first screenshot above, that's the siblings sharing a sweet moment. The oldest in the pic isn't purple because he turned out to be a Spellcaster. Lol. And then in the second screenshot above... that Manuel Aguilar guy called my alien mom anonymously, saying that he saw her from afar and that he was smitten. I wish I had taken a screenshot of the call, but I totally forgot. Lol. Anyway, my alien sim picked the positive reply obviously, and then he just shows up, struts into my house, and hugs one of the kids??? Anyway, he's dead now. Lol.
And then here are all the kids working on a school project together. So freaking cute! I forgot how much I liked this save!
And then one of their brothers who had recently moved out, came to visit, and the twins decided to play a video game with him! Fun! Also, because the alien mom is a single parent, her kids always help around the house. Here is one of the twins helping her younger sibling age up. As an elder sibling myself, I feel kinda bad. Lol. But in my head, they know all about their mom's plan to take over the world, and they're onboard, so they're happy to help. Lol.
And then there was a fire because of the freaking waffle maker that the mom just does not leave alone! I swear, this is a bug, because the number of times they use the waffle maker and the pizza oven is ridiculous! Anyway, I had asked mom to put out the fire, but as you can see, she is basically running away. Well, one of her kids autonomously came to put out the fire! Funnily enough, this is the daughter of the Manuel Aguilar guy from the beginning 😂 I really liked this sim. She has been one of my favorite kids to raise. Unfortunately, she's out of the house already! Gotta make room for more babies! Lol.
And now moving onto the save with ALL the drama, my Very Veggie Legacy. Lol. So, things are going well with the new butler.
Like, really well 😏😂 I know it's his job, but his interactions with the kids are so freaking cute!
Speaking of the kids, here is Carrotlina aged up into a child, and Rusty, the surprise baby, aged up into a toddler.
One night, randomly, Amethyst was abducted by aliens 🤷♀️😂 And the butler read the toddler to sleep, which again, it's his job, but it's SO cute!
Speaking of the butler, Amethyst got pregnant with his baby! This was not a surprise. I actually wanted her to have a baby with the butler. Lol. After this, though, I did lower the risky woohoo because I think 3 kids is enough kids 😅 Oh, I also need to go check in on the cousin... next time. I think I'm going to have another family reunion so this family can meet the brother's kid, and also so that that family can meet the new baby that's going to be born.
Anyway, right after this happened, she broke up with her current partner over TEXT 😭 I had never done this before, so it was fun. Lol.
She was pretty proud of herself. Lol.
And then Carrotlina, seeing what a mess her mother is, decided that she doesn't like people and would rather spend her time with horses. She asked her mom for a horse, and she said yes!
It is so cute! 😭 I don't think I've played much with horses, so this next generation is going to be interesting.
And then Amethyst's baby with the butler was born! This is her before the makeover... It's SO cute! 😭 Again, part of the butler's job is to help with the kids, but this is HIS kid, so it makes it extra cute. Lol.
And here we have surprise-baby Rusty aged up into a child, and the new baby Amber after her makeover! She is cute! And I decided to go with Amber because there is definitely a family tradition of being named after gemstones (Jade, Amethyst, and now Amber).
And here is the little family having dinner 🥹 Even the butler joined in. I mean, at this point, he's basically family. Lol.

#428: Omg I Read a Book... |

One thing I was not expecting at the Haunted Farmers Market was for there to be books there! It was a really nice surprise. So I got this blind date with a book with a bunch of goodies that ended up being Family of Liars. I have not read any books in this series, but I have seen it around.

A small booth of a horror writer's association was set up too, and of course, I gravitated toward it immediately. Lol. The author even signed the books for us! I'm excited to read this one! I don't read a lot of horror books with cryptids.

And then after that, we decided to go to a Barnes & Noble, and there I got the two books above!

And this last one I bought from Thriftbooks. It's to go with my Fear Street re-read this summer. Lol.

And last, a mystery thriller from the library.

I've heard a lot of great things about Dungeon Crawler Carl and can't wait to see what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you had a great time at the Farmers Market! Books and spooky things are your top two fave things 😂
I've heard good things about it too! One of my friends on Goodreads is reading the series now, and he is really liking it!
DeleteYesss! My cousin and I are already planning on going back in October to see if there's more vendors for spooky season. Lol.
