ReplyDeleteThat sounds very interesting! Hope you had a great time!
DeleteI was on a holiday in mountains with my boyfriend in July and we visited so many awesome places everyday! It was really great :-)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an amazing getaway!
DeleteThis summer has been rather uneventful with getting two kids ready for going to college--one for the first time and one into an apartment.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine! And especially with two kids going away! I hope things weren't too stressful for you guys!
DeleteI volunteered at a local library for the kids summer reading program.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun! Especially when you're a booknerd! lol
DeleteThis has actually been a rough summer. Family death, having to take on a second job to pay bills, medical issues. Although a couple friends did a mini surprise treat for my birthday back in June so it wasn't all bleak and I did get to see my dad for the first time in 3 years so not all bleak! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! My condolences, Jay. I'm glad you got to do some fun things amidst the tragedy. I hope the rest of your summer is better!
DeleteI have not done anything fun this summer, unless you count quiet human existence as fun!
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I would count human existence as a win ;) lol
DeleteMy son and I went on a 3 week road trip. From Ohio we went south and then southwest all the way to Nevada. We did a lot of "firsts" on our trip including digging for quartz, going to our first rodeo and seeing the Grand Canyon!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome! I have to admit that I don't think I would have the patience for a road trip, lol. But I would love to see the Grand Canyon in person one day! It just looks so incredible!
DeleteDidn't do too much this summer because of family drama but I did take a trip to Hollywood and visited the haunted hotel that American Horror Story Hotel is based on. I had a couple of beach days with my sister and her kids. And mine and my sister's bday and little brother's bday happened in July so that was fun.
ReplyDeleteOooh, yeah. Drama definitely is no fun. But it sounds like you at least got to have a little fun. Visiting that hotel sounds so amazing! I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the show, but I am a huge fan of horror in general!
DeleteI've seen a few plays! Rent, Something Rotten, and Aladdin (twice).
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome! I have never in my life seen a play because I have never been interested, really. But recently, idk, I kinda do want to go see something.
DeleteI went on a girls trip to Ann Arbor and it was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound fun! Hope you had a great time! :)
DeleteI haven't done anything really this summer :3 Just relaxing and reading :D
ReplyDeleteHey that's not bad at all! I would definitely count that as a win! I'm kind of jealous actually ;) lol
DeleteThis summer I grew a lot as a person!

Self-discovery is always great!
DeleteNOt much... just a lot of ice cream!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds sweet, actually! ;) lol
DeleteNothing amazing, but I spent most of summer poolside with a book.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so nice! I am jealous! ;)
DeleteI went to the author signing at RAGT, and it was great to meet some of my favorite authors!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is awesome! I always love meeting authors!
DeleteMy children and I spent two months in Mississippi with my family. My grandfather is 97 years old, so it was wonderful to be able to spend time with him. My parents took us to Six Flags over St. Louis and we had a blast. My 13-year-old daughter and I rode the roller coasters twice each, and were racing to hit all the rides, but the park shut the rides down due to a storm. My son refused to ride hardly anything because he wanted to play video games - I was not amused. We also took a weekend trip with my parents and my sister to Nashville. We spent one day at the zoo. It was HOT HOT HOT, but I loved every moment. We actually got to pet a kangaroo!
ReplyDeleteWow! So much fun in one summer! And yes! My brothers are like your son too! One of them absolutely refused to get on the rides with us and then my dad told him there was wifi in the park -_- totally not amused. But my other brother and I got on some rides and it was fun!
Deletethe first of the month we went and visited out newest great grandson.
ReplyDeleteAww! That is so sweet! Congrats on the new addition to the family!
DeleteWe went to Frankenmuth(MI) for the day to celebrate my Mom's birthday with family.
ReplyDeleteFamily fun time is always fun! lol
DeleteI worked on the movie Where'd You Go, Bernadette? and the TV show Gone as an extra. Both are based on books. The book that Gone is based off of is called One Kick though. It's just something I enjoy doing.
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounds so awesome! I am glad you enjoyed doing that! Maybe I will get to see them in the future? ;)
DeleteLove theme parks! Haven't been to one in ages. I spent as much time as possible at the pool this summer.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Especially with this heat!
