Monthly Wrap-Up: August 2025

It's been almost a week and I feel like I'm still trying to adjust to NOT being on vacation 😂 That being said, I'm looking at plane tickets tomorrow because I'm going back to Mexico in December 😆 Anyway, in August, I read 8 books, for a total of 1674 pages, which is about 200 pages less than the previous month, but this is still one of my better reading months!
  • 2 were full-length novels (1 of those was a re-read), 1 was a novella, and 5 were manga
  • All 8 were part of a series
  • I started 1 series and finished none 😅
  • All 8 books were finished copies
  • 7 were physical books and 1 ebook
  • 1 was a 5-star read, 3 were 4.5 stars, and 4 were 4-star reads
  • All 8 were traditionally published
  • 6 were by authors I've previously read, and 2 were new to me
  • 1 was an adult book, and 7 were YA
  • 5 were action, and 3 were horror

Books read this month:

So much Sakamoto Days this month 😆 This series has been the MVP this year. Lol. I am obviously really enjoying it! I also re-read High Tide and I also enjoyed it. It was just a good, quick, summer-y horror read.

More Sakamoto Days, then I read two more horror books. Clown in a Cornfield I liked, but not as much as I was anticipating. I think it had to do with it feeling really slow in the beginning because we didn't get the first murder until over 100 pages into the book. But I liked the second half of the book more! Still undecided whether I want to read more of the series, though. And Cicada was also good! Interesting concept with truly creepy scenes because I hate bugs 😣😂

Favorite book of the month:

This is the book I gave 5 stars to! I am loving this current arc!

Least favorite book of the month:

None! All of them were 4 stars and above!
