Synopsis:

I’d rather face a dozen lethal assassins any night than deal with something as tricky, convoluted, and fragile as my feelings.

But here I am. Gin Blanco, the semi-retired assassin known as the Spider. Hovering outside sexy businessman Owen Grayson’s front door like a nervous teenage girl. One thing I like about Owen: he doesn’t shy away from my past—or my present. And right now I have a bull’s-eye on my forehead.

Cold-blooded Fire elemental Mab Monroe has hired one of the smartest assassins in the business to trap me. Elektra LaFleur is skilled and efficient, with deadly electrical elemental magic as potent as my own Ice and Stone powers. Which means there’s a fifty-fifty chance one of us won’t survive this battle. I intend to kill LaFleur—or die trying—because Mab wants the assassin to take out my baby sister, Detective Bria Coolidge, too.

The only problem is, Bria has no idea I’m her long-lost sibling... or that I’m the murderer she’s been chasing through Ashland for weeks. And what Bria doesn’t know just might get us both dead...

My rating: ★★★★★

The war between Mab Monroe and the Spider is finally on.

Tired of her crap, Mab hires an assassin to take out the Spider. Ha! Like Gin will let that happen. Gin AKA the Spider sets out to kill this assassin, Elektra, before the assassin can get to Gin. Not to mention that Gin's little sister Bria is also in danger and she is determined to protect her at all costs.

Tangled Threads was amazing! The whole thing with Bria and her not knowing that Gin is her long lost sister... boy was it insane! Also, Elektra was a great rival for Gin! Her lightning magic proved to be a real challenge against Gin's stone and ice magic. The fight was really intense and there was a lot of magic throwing and--I just loved it! It was awesome! Gin is so badass! Assasin or not, you just gotta love her! She is one of my favorite characters ever! And Owen... *swoons* he is so sweet! Definitely what Gin needs :) And then there's Finn... I love him so hard! He is just so charming and lovable! Oh, and Fletcher, even dead made me go all teary-eyed.

Tangled Threads had an amazing story with kickass action, and a plethora of interesting, likable characters (and others not so likable for obvious reasons, but still amazing!) Again, the repetitive bits are still there, but I am finding myself just skipping them. Besides that this book was amazing!
