Top 10 Most Anticipated Books of 2026

I am so bad at adding upcoming books to my tbr, but I was able to gather some that I am super excited to read next year!

So, it's my understanding that The Last King of Faerie, the first book in the next (and last) series of The Shadowhunters Chronicles, is set to come out sometime in 2026. I have not heard anything about it lately, but as a lover of all things Shadowhunters, I'm really excited about this one!
I really like the horror books by Kiersten White, so I'm really looking forward to The Fox and the Devil (March 10, 2026) because it apparently has vampire hunters and serial killers?? Idk, but I love that combo!
Another horror book I enjoyed is We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer. It was creepy and weird, but in the best way possible! So I'm really looking forward to reading The Caretaker (April 21, 2026) by the same author! I actually just got the ARC of this one not too long ago, and that made me SO happy!

   

Japanese Gothic (April 21, 2026) is exactly as it sounds. It's gothic, AND it's got Japanese mythology! I am very intrigued! I really liked this author's take on Japanese mythology in The Keeper of Night, so I'm looking forward to this one!
Startup Hell (May 19, 2026) sounds silly and fun, and I'm looking forward to it! I read Dreadful by this author earlier this year and I thought it was pretty fun, so I can't wait to see what else the author has in store for us!
A SIX OF CROWS NOVELLA (June 30, 2026)!! This is not a drill, people!! I only just found out about this a couple weeks ago, and I cannot tell you how excited I am! 😭
And then we are getting the final book in the Red Space series (I think it's a trilogy 😅), Erebus-13 (July 14, 2026). I am SO excited for this one! I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series!

  

I have really enjoyed the Assistant to the Villain series thus far, so I'm looking forward to reading Adversary to the Villain (August 4, 2026)... even though I haven't read book 3 yet 😅 At the time of writing this post, at least. Lol.
Julia Huni's cozy fantasy is getting a sequel! I really enjoyed the first book, way more than I thought I would, so I'm looking forward to A Blacksmith's Dragon-Rearing Almanac (August 31, 2026). From the title, I take it we're going to follow different characters in the idyllic town. I'm looking forward to it!
And then the next book in the Ellie Jordan series! I love this series so much! I can't wait to read Evermore Plantation (September 14, 2026)! I know it's going to be good!

Let me know what 2026 books you're looking forward to! I genuinely need some recommendations because I actually don't have that many 2026 releases on my TBR at the moment 😅
