Top 10 Books I Wish I'd Read in 2025

You guys know I love doing these end of the year posts. The first one this week is all those books I wish I'd read in 2025 but didn't get to for one reason or another. This year the reason is mostly due to my nearly year long reading slump 😅 Thankfully I'm over it now. So here are some 2025 books I wish I'd read this year, but didn't.

I really enjoyed Five Broken Blades, and my plan was to read the sequel, but I didn't get to it... Even though I checked it out of the library like twice 😅😂

All Shall Mourn... I had all the intentions of reading this one. I even bought the ebook back in January. But nope. Didn't happen. Lol. However, I'm locking in on completing series next year, so hopefully this will be one of the ones I finish.

Again, I enjoyed Caitlin Rozakis's Dreadful, and so I bought this new release because I was going to read it. Yeah, that hasn't happened yet. Lol

You guys know I love Cassandra Clare, and I enjoyed Sword Catcher. But yeah, earlier in the year I was just not in the mood for big fantasy books. But I'm hoping this will be one of the first books I get to on the coming year! And I also haven't gotten to any of the books from the Shadowhunters Kickstarter project. Soon though!

Of Monsters and Mainframes sounds like a really fun sci-fi/paranormal book that I also own.

And Predatory Natures sounds like a really interesting sci-fi, horror, nature-focused book. I checked this one out from the library too and never got to it 😅

I Killed the King sounds like a really interesting mystery set in a fantasy world. But again, earlier in the year, my mood was just not cooperating with the fantasies.

How to Fake a Haunting is a horror book that starts off with someone trying to fake a haunting, but then actually real spooky things start happening 👀 Hopefully I'll get to it next year because I am intrigued!

And last, we got another Marissa Meyer retelling! In my defense with this one, it just came out late this year 😅

Let me know if you've read any of these books and what you thought of them! Also, let me know what books you were wanting to read this year but just never got around to.

Happy Holidays! 😊
