Books read this month:
Okay, I'm gonna try to only do one sentence per book because I actually read a lot this month. Lol. First, All Shall Mourn was a disappointing end to the series. Dead Fake, with its Fear Street vibes, was great, though! Predatory Natures was another good one with some unexpected mythology thrown in, which I appreciated. I liked the idea of The Haunted Bookstore and it was actually really cute, but in the end, it was just... fine. I enjoyed Artificial Condition and absolutely love Murderbot!
While I'm not loving this series as much as the Shadowhunter Chronicles, I did enjoy The Ragpicker King overall, and its developing mythos. Not only was Night Terror about a bookstore being held up, but it had a supernatural twist I was not expecting, but loved! Volume 15 of Spy x Family was another great addition to the series. Kaiju No. 8 was very interesting and very fun! As for The Fox and the Devil, I liked the concept and there were some aspects I really enjoyed, but overall it was also just... fine.

ReplyDeleteI'm shocked as well. Lol. Don't know long I'll be able to keep this up, but I'm just gonna go with it 😆
DeleteGreat reading month! Kaiju No. 8 is one I want to get for my school library. Some great books it looks like for the most part. I decided to pass on The Fox and the Devil even though I had an ARC and have loved other books by this author, it just didn't sound like one I was in the mood for. Here's to March being a great reading month for us too!

Kaiju No. 8 was great! I'm sure the kids would like that one! And maybe it's a good thing you passed on the ARC... I think I liked the concept of the book more than the execution tbh 😬
