Sunday Post #494: Movies and Video Game Drama

What I've been doing:

Another uneventful week... just how I like it 😆 And I got my 3-day weekend this week, yay! It's honestly felt so long, but I'll take it! Work is too stressful 😆 Anyway, last weekend I went to the movies with one of my brothers and it was fun! We got a margarita and they put this cute bloody knife garnish 😂 (We went to watch Scream 7 🤣)

What I've been watching:

At home, I finally watched the new Jurassic World movie and Sinners! I liked them both!

 

And like I said, I also went to watch Scream 7 and I... did not love it. I didn't hate it either, but it was just not a good Scream movie. It just felt like your average slasher, which the Scream franchise is not. I missed the commentary on slashers and how meta the series is 😔 Plus, I guessed the killer the moment they appeared on screen! However, I did not understand their motive AT ALL! It made NO sense! But otherwise, it did have some good kills.

What I've been playing:

Okay, grab some popcorn because this is gonna be a long one. My Sims in my Rewards Event save got into A LOT of drama this week 😂

 

First of all, my main Sim Daisy decided to make the Event NPC, Marina, her enemy. This Sim basically terrorized her family when she was a kid, making her mom run all over town trying to figure out what this shady Sim was up to, and now Daisy is taking revenge...

 

...is the story I'm telling because we got this new Master of Grudges aspiration with said event. Lol. And who better to exact vengeance on than the NPC menace of the event 😆

 

Anyway, Daisy's dad also aged up into an elder! I gave him a makeover and then I did something else I haven't done before, because I don't play with elders often, is I had him retire from his job!

 

Oh, yep. That's Daisy getting into another fight with Marina on CHRISTMAS while Santa watches and belly laughs 🤣 Then she went home to spend the holiday with her family after she got the crap beat out of her. She wasn't very good at fighting. Lol.

 

I love this screenshot of my Sim 🤣 She looks so proud of whatever mean thing she told Marina 😂 Oh, and then her dad had a little accident 👀 At this point, I could've told him to go inside so he wasn't hit by the meteor, but I didn't 🤭

 

And when Grim showed up, his wife could've given Grim a death flower to save him because she's a gardner and she has a bunch of those... but again, I didn't 👀 Look, ever since he caught on fire that one time, he was destined to die tragically 😅 I also haven't had a Sim die by meteor soooo, yeah 😆

 

And then, maybe a day later, Daisy's mom also died of old age 😬

 

And here is grandma asking her dad when her time is up, but he said that it's not gonna be anytime soon 😅 I honestly don't know why she's living so long! I still think it's because Grim is her dad, but I have no clue. Given this game, it could also be a bug 😂

 

Grandma got eaten by a cowplant even though I told her not to eat the cake lol, and then Daisy finished the painter aspiration so now she is able to paint emotion paintings at will! This is exactly what I wanted because I needed her to make an angry painting because I needed her angry for her other aspiration, but she's always so damn happy 😂

 

And then the cat died too 😭 This family just could not catch a break this week. With Grim being around so much, I figured Daisy should get to know her grandpa, and they actually got a sentiment! How cute! Lol.

 

And here is grandma comforting Daisy, since now it's just the two of them 🥲 I went from 5 Sims to 2 WAY too fast 😅

 

Back to the vengeance, though! She completed the aspiration! Toward the end of it, she had to do some mischievous interactions, not just mean ones, and Marina actually liked it! So much so that their relationship bar went from MAX red...

 

to very little red, to ummm... kissing... and...

 

Yeah, Marina is pregnant 🤦‍♀️🤣 I actually did this on purpose. Lol. It's a whole storyline. Lol. This romance is actually pretty icky, if you think about it. This special type of event NPC doesn't age. Marina was an adult when Daisy was a KID. Daisy, right now, is a young adult, and there is just something gross about that. It almost feels like Marina took advantage of Daisy, especially with this whole pregnancy thing. My plan for this is to just be a one-night stand. Daisy is gonna grow and move on from the toxic relationship she has with Marina (in fact, that tourist dude was meant to be a potential partner, but it didn't work out. Lol). But Marina is not a good person, so the plan is to move the baby in with Daisy once they are born and cut off ties with Marina. Or at least try because this Sim is literally EVERYWHERE 😂

 

In other news, Daisy has been abducted THREE times and I honestly don't know how 😂 But I had so much fun playing this week! Ah! I love the drama! Lol.

I also played a bit of Lost & Found Co., which finally came out! I was SO excited! I played the demo of this game a long time ago and I loved it!

 

As the title suggests, you just find things. Lol. It's so fun! And pretty difficult! And it's also 10% off on Steam! 😆

 

I also like that it has a whole storyline, and I just love the graphics! I'm excited to play more of it!

Purchased:

I had made a purchase request for this book at my library, but apparently their vendor didn't carry it or something 😒 So I bought it! 😆 I got a nice discount on it too because there was some sort of sale at B&N, AND I also had some rewards to spend too! I think I ended up getting it for like $10, which isn't bad at all. Anyway, I'm excited to read it! The premise sounds very interesting!
