Sunday Post #493: Just Work, Trials, and Sims

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week!

What I've been doing:

So it was back to work with me this week! I actually even worked yesterday, and I don't normally work Saturdays 😫 But they needed me to train some nurses in the home, and since I'm only doing Mon-Thurs and ONLY school days, I had to compromise. Lol. But it went well. I like the nurses and I think they're competent. So we will see how all that goes. Otherwise, nothing too exciting this week. Which is just how I like it. Lol.

What I've been watching:

I honestly don't remember if I watched anything this week 😅 Oh, it's because all I watched is a live trial. Lol. I am going to the movies tonight with one of my brothers, though! Very excited! I'll tell you more about that next week!

What I've been playing:

The rewards event in the Sims 4 is over! And it was... fine. Lol. Idk, I didn't love this story as much.

I mean, you were basically chasing around this lady with the eyepatch all over because she was trying to steal treasure or something? Idk. Lol. Anyway, look at the view my sim has while painting 😆

But one of the rewards from the last event that I freaking love is that we got this tiny library! And it's functional!! On another note, Aubrey has been hanging out with her mom A LOT. And no, she did not end up dying like I thought. More about that later 👀

I don't often celebrate the holiday, but Halloween came around and I thought it would be fun if my teen threw a Halloween party and invited her friends!

And here she is trying to play video games with her friend and her parents totally being clingy... with the cat 😂

So grandma is a very successful horror writer, and it's specifically horror because she's the daughter of the Grim Reaper 😂 Anyway, one of her bucket list items was to tell her kid that she's proud of her 😭 I love this game 🥹

Her husband died a while ago, but I got the notification that his ghost was fading. I like to strengthen their connection to the physical world (or whatever it's called) just in case I want to bring them back in the future. But I had no clue where his urn was!! One way you can get it, though, is by having a funeral, so that's what I did. I don't think I had a funeral for him at all, so this was nice. Then they came home and had a nice family dinner.

And then Aubrey aged up into an elder! 😭 I gave her a little make over.

And then, with a mod I had, I went to look at how many days she and her mom had left, because her mom's life bar was still glowing and she was still not dead. Aubrey only has like 8 days left. Meanwhile, grandma has like a million! I'm playing short life span, so it feels like a long time. Lol. Anyway, I don't know why her bar is glowing, and I really don't remember how she got all those extra days. There are things you can do to extend a sim's life, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what I did with Evelyn to do that 😂 Maybe it's just because she's the daughter of Grim, idk 🤷‍♀️ But I am glad she's not dying yet because then the family won't be gold diggers like I was thinking last week 🤣

In other news, Aubrey's husband almost killed himself 😅 In his defense, I am quite aware that fireplaces and rugs do not mix. And yet, I did it anyway 😂 And my teen, Daisy, aged up into a young adult! Meanwhile, her dad is still crispy from the fire earlier. Lol. In fact, he went to work that way 😂

At this point, I would move out the young adult and start their life. BUT I do that with literally all my saves, so for this one, since I moved grandma back in, I think I'm going to keep it multigenerational. I think it will be fun. So Daisy will stay living with her family while she figures out her life. I actually haven't figured out her life yet 😅 Her traits are: Overachiever, Creative, and Rancher. I randomized them for the most part, so idk what I want her to do with her life. I think I want her to be a painter, and maybe have some ranch animals to care for. And with this event that just finished, we got a new aspiration and I definitely want to do that with her! Anyway, stay tuned, because I have no idea where any of this is going! 😆

I played a little ACNH this week, but not nearly enough as previous weeks. I will tell you this: the snow is finally gone (YAY), so I'm going to start finishing up my island in earnest!
