Synopsis:

Gabie drives a Mini Cooper. She also works part time as a delivery girl at Pete’s Pizza. One night, Kayla—another delivery girl—goes missing. To her horror, Gabie learns that the supposed kidnapper had asked if the girl in the Mini Cooper was working that night. Gabie can’t move beyond the fact that Kayla’s fate was really meant for her, and she becomes obsessed with finding Kayla. She teams up with Drew, who also works at Pete’s. Together, they set out to prove that Kayla isn’t dead—and to find her before she is.

My rating: ★★★★☆

Gabie’s co-worker Kayla goes missing one night while out delivering pizzas. To Gabie’s horror, Gabie was the one meant to be kidnapped that night, not Kayla! And it all happened because Kayla and Gabbie switched shifts... yikes! How insane is that?!

Supernatural

I loved this mystery and figuring out why/who would want to kidnap Gabie and also if Kayla was actually still alive. I loved following Gabie around on this journey to finding out the truth, especially because she felt so guilty about what happened. I can totally understand why she would feel guilty, I mean, someone meant to kidnap her! The premise of this book was just great! I really enjoyed this mystery.

So, this book is told in multiple POV’s: Gabie’s, Kayla’s, and disturbingly, the kidnapper’s too! I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of multiple POVs, but in this book, it made things so much more interesting! It was great! Another thing I really loved was the snippets throughout the book of evidence, articles, police reports/interviews... I really loved this unique format! It made things a bit more fun and engaging! It almost made me feel like I was also working the case, Lol.

FBI

The Night She Disappeared was a fast-paced, intriguing read, with a great mystery that will keep you guessing till the end! It was also very thrilling and suspenseful and had interesting, diverse characters. The unique format of the book gave it an extra touch I very much liked, and I just overall enjoyed the story. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for other books by this author!
