It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Book Date and Unleashing Reads.

What I read:

I loved this book 🖤 Idk if the Supernatural vibes are on purpose (I'm gonna have to ask the author 😆), but I love it so much! 😭 Not only that, though, I love the characters and the story and just the whole idea of hunting cryptids! I'm happy I found this series! However, I'm already a third of the way done with this series, so I need to take it easy. Lol. I love it, but I also want to make it last as long as I possibly can. Lol.

Which is why I went on an epic fantasy detour! Well, right now I'm actually trying to complete some of my reading challenges, and the random prompt I picked out to complete next was epic fantasy, hence this book. I'm only like 25 pages in, but I love it already. Lol. I loved the first book—it was wild!—so I've been really looking forward to this one. The only downside is that it is LOOOONG! I mean, I have the mass market paperback version, so it's smaller, but it is also about 800 pages 😅

Up next:

And that is only unfortunate because I really need to read THIS book. It needs to go back to the library, like, now 😅 When I read the first Mistborn book last year, I think I finished it in under a week, so that's totally doable with the second one. I might try and finish it during the week, and then this weekend I'll read I Killed the King. Maybe. I'm trying to avoid reading more than one book at once, but we will see what happens this week. (I personally wouldn't count I Killed the King as an epic fantasy, I don't think. It's definitely a high fantasy, but I don't think it quite fits the prompt of epic fantasy. I mean, I haven't read it yet, so idk. Lol. )
