Synopsis:

Mel and Greg are trying to have a romantic evening together when Rachel shows up and informs them that their neighbor is dead. Never one to turn down a mystery, Mel rushes to her neighbor’s apartment only to discover that the dead man is not her neighbor at all, but a stranger dressed up like a zombie.

Following a trail of clues, Mel finds herself surrounded by the undead to answer two questions:

Who is this man in her neighbor’s apartment?

And, where is her neighbor?

My rating: ★★★★☆

In this installment of Mellow Summers, Mel, of course, solves a murder. But this time she finds a body in a neighbor's apartment dressed as a zombie. And guess who's back? Rachel! She hasn't been around for a while so I was glad to see her again. I love that she just pops in whenever she wants. Though it can be inconvenient for Mel and her friends...

Before she knows it, Mel finds herself scouring the sewers in an effort to locate a missing clue. Will she solve the mystery before Tammy unravels her last nerve?

My rating: ★★★★☆

More murder solving for Mel and her friends! This time a girl at a pageant literally drops dead... during the pageant. At first Mel was going to stay out of it and let the police handle it. Especially because it seemed like she died of heat stroke or something like that. But it turns out that she might have been murdered somehow after all! Detective Shorts is not happy, like always, but Mel sets out to solve the mystery.

Hickory Dickory Dock The Ghost In The Clock had another intriguing mystery, which is something I always love about this series! I mean, the title tells it all: someone was found dead in a clock! WTF?! And not only that, but it looks like they were murdered! Talk about being creative. Heh.

Synopsis:

Halloween has arrived and so has everyone’s favorite ghost: Rachel. Invited to a Halloween party, Mel and her friends hope to enjoy a night of fun. The party soon turns sour when a man turns up dead during a murder mystery game.

While Detective Shorts is busy questioning everyone who attended the party, Mel and her friends start their own investigation. Soon they find themselves digging into secrets best forgotten—the hostess’ mysterious sister and a lost will—and an underground tunnel that the murderer used to sneak into the mansion. Will Mel be able to solve this case before the night ends and the killer disappears?

My rating: ★★★★☆

It's party time!

Halloween has come around and Mel, Greg, and Jackie have been invited to a Halloween party. Oh yeah, and Rachel tags along too (yup, she's back)! Everybody is having a great time when suddenly, one of the guests is killed right then and there, in front of everyone! Detective Shorts and some other officers in blue show up and start interrogating the guests, trying to figure out what the heck happened at the party. Mel herself stays out of it and lets the police do their job... HA! Did you actually fall for that? Because she totally did not do that, lol. Detective Shorts has pretty much resigned himself to getting Mel's help whether he likes it or not, so Mel goes off to investigate the murder her own way, with the help of her friends, of course. Drunk ghosts, evil twins (maybe?), and lost money... oh my!

Back in town, some guy stumbles into the Candle Shoppe, frantic. He comes up to Mel and tells her that someone is out to get him, that someone wants to kill him. And then, suddenly, he drops dead... Literally. Detective Shorts once again tells Mel to stay out of it... But does she listen? Of course not, she's Mel! Haha. She feels compelled to unravel this mystery. I mean, this guy specifically sought her out, that's strange in and of itself, so yeah this piqued her interest.
