Another stressful week of work that was so stressful, the only thing I did during the week on my time off was play Resident Evil 4 😂 I'm just counting down the days till the end of the school year at this point. Almost there!
Aside from that, yesterday I FINALLY watched the Murderbot tv show and it was so good! I really enjoyed it! I freaking love Murderbot! (AND I also finished book 3 yesterday 😆)
Afterward, we also watched this movie, which was actually pretty good! It was this sort of survival horror/romance. Strong Resident Evil vibes (minus the romance lol) 😆 But it was good!
This week I didn't rewatch any Marvel stuff, again, because I was deep in the RE4 gameplay 😅
So it will come as a surprise when I say that I actually didn't love this game 🫣 I know it is basically universally beloved, but I don't think it was for me. First of all, I didn't like the village setting. That's a me problem. There was this one part where we were down in the mines, and I actually really enjoyed that! And some parts of the castle weren't bad. But the thing that I just did not love at all was the cult-y stuff. I just don't like that sort of stuff in horror! I don't know what it is, but I never like it! Also, before this game, I played RE9 and RE2 and they were both SCARY. This one was not, and it made me so sad 😩 I'm here for the horror! But hey, at least I had Leon 😅
I also found it to be extremely difficult. Like I've said many times before, I don't play these games so I'm pretty bad at them. But in the last two games, I would die maybe once or twice in a boss fight, learn my lesson, and then beat them, but in RE4 I died up to 10 times! It was so frustrating! And it was always when it was the hordes of "zombies" (the talking zombie cultists is another thing I was not a fan of) just ganging up on you. I hated that.
Which is hilarious because I ended up getting a B in this game when in the other ones it was a C ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚ All that being said, I didn't really HATE the game, it was fine, and there were certain things and aspects I did like. But ultimately, it was not for me. Am I still going to continue playing these games? YES!
I've been wanting to go back to play RE3 because I feel like I would like that one, but I'm wondering if I should just go all the way back to RE1 at this point. Lol. I haven't decided yet. I might 👀

I was SO excited when I saw this book listed on Netgalley! I requested it, and only a couple HOURS later I get an email saying that my request was approved! On the SAME day! Ah!! Thank you, Orbit! I can't wait to read it!

yay for all the Murderbot content!! I have to admit, I had my doubts about Alexandar playing Murderbot because I imagined him in my head as a bit more serious, deadly looking guy. In the end, his awkwardness made the whole thing even funnier 😂
