Another month has passed, and my Resident Evil hyperfixation continues 😆 Honestly, most of the books you will see below I read within the last week because I was trying to catch up after most of my time went to playing these games 😂 I enjoy a readathon, though, so all the binge reading was very fun for me. Anyway, in April I also read 9 books, for a total of 2248 pages, which is about 400ish pages less than the previous month.
- 4 were full-length novels, 2 manga, and 3 novellas
- 6 were part of a series, and 3 were standalones
- I started 1 series, and finished 1
- 2 were books I purchased, 1 was an ARC from an author, and 6 were from the library
- 8 were finished copies and 1 ARC
- 4 were physical books, 3 were ebooks, and 1 was an ebook/audiobook combo
- 3 were 4.5 stars, and 6 were 4 stars
- 8 were traditionally published, 1 was indie published
- 5 were by authors I've previously read, and 4 were new to me
- 5 were adult books, and 4 were YA books
- All 9 were fiction
- 2 were action, 1 mystery thriller, 1 cozy fantasy, 4 sci-fi, 1 urban fantasy
Books read this month:
Started the month off with a new manga, which I really enjoyed! Then, a cozy fantasy that I enjoyed more than I was expecting! And after that, some Murderbot, whom I also love. Then another action-packed manga, which I am really enjoying so far! And then I finished a series, yay!
I really enjoyed the Chaotic Orbits series! It was so fun! And I also enjoyed We Won't All Survive more than I thought I would! There was something about that just made me want to keep reading. Of Monsters and Mainframes was such a fun sci-fi with a paranormal twist! I need more vampires and werewolves in space! 😆 And I also enjoyed Wild is the Witch! It was a very witchy book set in nature, and my favorite thing about it was probably the character development that happened. I liked it!
Favorite book of the month:
This was hard because it was just a really good reading month, but I think I'm going to go with these!
Least favorite book of the month:
None! I enjoyed them all!
