Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!
And thank the gods for that because I desperately need it! Lol. And thanks to Lost in a Story, as well, for creating this amazing meme!
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
Ripple sounds like it's about sirens... not interested. It's gone.
Die for Me has been on my tbr list for a very long time, but reading it back now it just doesn't capture my attention, which is a shame because I've heard good things about it! But ultimately, I'm getting rid of this one too.
Hunting Lila has telekinesis and a murder mystery... yes please! I'm keeping this one!
Troy High: "Homer’s Iliad, the classic tale of love and revenge, is shrewdly retold for teens in Troy High." Um, YES!! Keeping!
Dark Descendant has a PI and a ton of mythology which makes for another keeper!
The Rules has alien stuff and genetic experiments and it's by an author I like, so yes, I am keeping this one!
Bewitching is about the witch Kendra from Beastly and I am very excited to read it! Another keeper!
Zombies Vs. Unicorns is an anthology, and I don't really read those very much so it's gone.
The Eternal Kiss: 13 Vampire Tales of Blood and Desire is another anthology so it's also gone.
The Reaping of Norah Bentley is about death and reapers, but it sounds like it has too much romance for this type of book (imo). It's gone.
Total books deleted: 5
Total books kept on TBR list: 5
