The Village Library Demon-Hunting Society was a cozy mystery with a supernatural twist that often forgot it had a supernatural twist. It was not great. I loved the premise so much, but the execution was just not good. And I was also reading The Hero of Ages at the same time, which is not fair because, comparatively, that one is a masterpiece 😆 But luckily, after that, I read another volume of Spy x Family, and it was great, like always!
As opposed to The Well of Ascension, I am taking my time with this one. It's the last book in the trilogy and I'm trying to savor it. I'm only reading between 1-3 chapters a night, so I'm only about 100 pages in. But I am enjoying it! I love this world so much! And Elend? The changes he went through are insane!

As far as my quest in actually trying to complete reading challenges this year, the next prompt I want to fulfill is the memoir/biography prompt. However, I am still waiting to hear back from the library. I have two potential books for this prompt, one I want to read more than the other, so I'm just waiting to see what's up with my purchase request. Meanwhile, I might move on to a different prompt. Another prompt I have is sports, and I already have a book on hold at the library for that. And the third prompt I currently have is to read an African-inspired book. I have no clue what to read for this one 😅 I was thinking an Egyptian mythology book because I love mythology, but I recently also added a different book to my tbr that is magical realism and takes place in Egypt. Idk. Things are up to the library at this point to see which of my holds comes in first 😂
