Sunday Post #489: A Nice Break

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week!

What I've been doing:

I had a really nice break this week 😌 I only worked two (stressful) days and then I was off for the rest of the week. It was great! I spent the week watching a live trial (still waiting on the verdict!), reading, and playing ACNH. And then Saturday was a self-care day where I took an everything shower, did a face mask because my skin is incredibly irritated from the dryness due to the cold, did a mask for my hands because I've been neglecting them, and then I finally did my nails! It's been so long since I've painted my nails! I always find that when I'm stressed, I always neglect my hobbies that keep me sane. But it was a good week overall.

Oh, I also found out that I will be training a new nurse at work, so hopefully that will help with the stress of the workload. AND I'm also currently on call for Jury duty, which I'm actually excited about. I've never been, but since I started watching live trials and started understanding the way court works, I really want to experience it firsthand. We'll see what happens, though! I called in, and so far it's a no-show.

What I've been watching:

As I write this, I am currently watching, still lol, Law and Order. I'm on season 4 now. The other thing I was watching this week, which I already mentioned, was a live trial. I freaking love Emily D. Baker! I honestly don't think I could watch trials without her! She's a lawyer, so she explains things, but she's also so freaking funny! I have been watching her for years, but I honestly don't think I've mentioned her on here enough 😆 The livestreams are looong, but they're just so good to have in the background! Plus, wild things happen in court. WILD.

What I've been listening to:

I need to catch up on Unlike Pluto's releases 😩 I stopped keeping track when I went to Mexico, but now that I'm back, I really need to get back into it. Otherwise, I typically always have my music on shuffle. Lol. But this month, apparently, my number one station was Green Day. Why? Because the moment I heard they were playing the opening at the superbowl I got very excited and I've been preparing since 😂 I literally could not care less about the game, but Green Day? Yes please! Lol.

I cannot wait for them to misbehave on stage 😆 IYKYK😂

What I've been playing:

ACNH this week! I've been really working toward completing milestones, so not too much terraforming and decorating this week, though I did do some of that, I just didn't take any screenshots 😅

Two of my villagers, almost back to back, gave me some silly glasses, just because 😂 I freaking love them 😂

It's also been cool seeing the hotel guests just walking around my island, and even grabbing a coffee with Brewster.

I even had one of my old villagers visit and it was so freaking cute! 😭

Anyway, I just really love this game. These little interactions have been so cute.

Some more shots of my villagers being cute...

And I did a bunch of fishing this weekend, again, for a milestone, and Bones joined me at one point 😭

I don't think I played a lot of The Sims this week. Tbh, I'm kinda dreading going back to my Super Sim and her twins 😅 Though we already passed the difficult stage, which is infancy, so it shouldn't be too bad now. I might pick it up again this week, but honestly I am having a lot of fun with ACNH.

Book Haul

Purchased:

I bought a lightnovel! This has been on my tbr for a while, and I debated whether to go with the manga or light novel, but in the end, I went with the light novel. I'm really excited because I haven't read a light novel before. It can't be too different from a regular novel, right? I'm looking forward to it, though, especially because of the premise!

For Review:

My request for this ARC was accepted!!! Yay!! Thank you, Del Rey!
