Synopsis: Sand. Surf. Sun. Roxie lives for the summer. But this summer things aren't going the way Roxie planned.

It all started when she broke into Lee Blume's house just to win a stupid bet. Because while she was in Lee's house, Roxie saw something she shouldn't have seen. Heard something she shouldn't have heard.

And now someone's looking for Roxie.

Someone who wants her... dead.

My rating: ★★☆☆☆

This book was a mess. First of all, that bet... It was NOT a fun bet! Especially not when the bet is over dating a guy! And doubly NOT when the girl already has a freaking boyfriend! And yet she’s over here thinking about another guy.

I really hate this trend in these types of books. Just quit leading on the poor guy if you’re not into him! Why do these characters keep doing this?! Oh and then Roxy gets jealous when Terry, her boyfriend, mentions that she knows this one girl who was murdered?? Hypocrite much? Anyway, that was annoying. Roxy wasn’t great. And actually, all the boys in her life weren’t even great either! They’re all so menacing! Because red herrings, of course 🙄 And the fact that she ends up with one of them at the end... no. No, thank you.

This was just a very meh book with a predictable mystery and awful characters. I did like the beachy setting buuuut that’s pretty much it. Lol.

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a link to your review or comment below! 😊
