Synopsis: After living as a Mundane and a Vampire, Simon never thought he would become a Shadowhunter, but today he begins his training at Shadowhunter Academy.

My rating: ★★★★★

Simon is going to Shadowhunter Academy! We start the story off with Simon saying goodbye to the gang in New York, and omg did I love the banter! Jace being a jerk and messing with Simon, telling him about things that never actually happened... The Alec thing 🤣 I love him!

He then arrives in Idris and meets some new friends! One of these friends, his roommate George, I absolutely love! That first meeting with the demon possum thing was hilarious! Oh, and he is a Lovelace! As in, he’s somehow related to Jessamine from The Infernal Devices! Anyway, George, I love him. He’s funny and sweet and he sounds hot as hell 😏 The way he was so supportive and encouraging of Simon, who he just met, was the sweetest, most attractive thing ever 😍 Yes, I’m pretty much in love (don’t tell Jace 😆)

But back to Simon. As you can imagine, after what he did, how he helped save the world in The Mortal Instruments, his reputation definitely precedes him around the Academy. It’s too bad he doesn’t remember any of it. Lol. His new friends keep asking him about being a vampire and him biting his Shadowhunter friends and all that... It was SO funny! 🤣 Simon also gets a surprise visit from someone... and it was amazing 🤣 Poor Simon, though 😂

I really enjoyed this story! It really set the scene, getting familiar with the place, meeting the new characters... It was great! I really miss the old Simon, not gonna lie, but I’m looking forward to getting to know this one!
