Synopsis: When bot–programming student Triana Moore witnesses a death during a grav belt diving stunt, the authorities rule it suicide. But Triana suspects foul play and digs into the murky details. With the help of a wanna-be rogue cop, a semi-pro gravity diver, and a box of excellent pastries, will the future space janitor solve the case?

Of course she will.

My rating: ★★★★☆

This prequel takes place a few years before The Vacuum of Space, with Triana and her best friend Kara attending school on Kaku. There’s this “fun” game the college kids like to play that involves a very tall building, a grav belt, and then said kids jumping off that building 😨 Triana witnesses this first hand, but the one she sees does not end well for the kid jumping off the building, if you know what I mean...

A horrible accident turns into a possible murder when people start thinking that the kid’s grav belt might have been messed with. And guess who gets sucked into the investigation? That’s right, our future space janitor Triana! 😂 Poor girl... I love that she never wants to get involved, but she somehow always manages to get sucked in. Lol.

This novella was a lot of fun! It was really funny and had some really good action. Plus, I just love our sassy protagonist Triana.
