Down the TBR Hole #32: Murder Mysteries and... Contemporaries?!

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

And thank the gods for that because I desperately need it! Lol. And thanks to Lost in a Story, as well, for creating this amazing meme!

How it works:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Death and Relaxation (Ordinary Magic, #1) Waste of Space Atoning (Darkness Rising #3.1) The New Guy (Darkness Rising, #1.5) Delirium Stories: Hana, Annabel, and Raven (Delirium, #0.5-#2.5)

In this batch the only one I am NOT keeping is Death and Relaxation because it just sounds like other stuff I've read before. Keeping the rest because they are all by authors I've read before and loved!

Lair of Dreams (The Diviners, #2) Scythe (Arc of a Scythe, #1) Wonder Woman: Warbringer (DC Icons, #1) How I Met Your Brother A Ghostly Undertaking (Ghostly Southern Mysteries, #1)

And here the only ones I'll be keeping are How I Met Your Brother (I don't read a lot of contemporaries, but I love Janette Rallison!) and A Ghostly Undertaking (sounds like a fun murder mystery!)

And that's it!

Total books deleted: 4
Total books kept on TBR list: 6

Let me know if you have read any of these books and whether I should've given them a second chance!

  1. I loved Lair of Dreams, but it's the sequel to The Diviners, so it depends on if you read/enjoyed that. I hope to read the third book soon. I also really loved Scythe and I need to read THAT sequel too.

    1. I actually didn't love The Diviners. Although I've recently heard that the sequel is much better, so now I'm contemplating whether I should put it back on my tbr list. I think I might.
