I finally finished the Parasitology series and I really enjoyed it overall! It was such a good sci-fi horror with a lot of great characters! I do feel like the whole people-getting-kidnapped-and-being-held-against-their-will thing got really repetitive and I wish it would've happened less, but aside from that, it was a pretty solid trilogy.
William on the other hand, I did not love. This is another sci-fi horror, except in this book it was supposed to be this sort of haunted house book but with an AI instead of a ghost but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Which is a shame because I loved the premise! I just didn't like the characters, they were very bland, and the book was honestly not that scary. I didn't hate this book, but it was clearly not for me.
I hate to have ended my latest horror reading run on such a mediocre note, but I'm ready to move on. Lol. I'm finally getting back into this book, though there's no guarantee that I'll actually finish it this week. Lol. It's a big book. Lol.
And I have really been wanting to read some high fantasy lately, which is rare for me because I don't read a lot of it. But I'm gonna embrace the mood while it lasts. Lol. And I think this is the first one I want to dive into.
ahhh it's so disappointing reading a mediocre book, it totally ruins the mood 😅 hopefully, the fantasies treat you better!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I actually had another horror book lined up to read, but I decided against it. And the first fantasy I read also wasn't great, but hopefully the next ones will be better! 😅
