Sunday Post #428: The Horror Persists, But So Do I

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week!

What I've been doing:

Ughhh. I am so done with this month 🙄 Last week I mentioned that my patient's insurance deemed that she no longer needed nursing services, and that was confirmed this past week. So now she won't have any nursing care. Keep in mind that this child still has a tracheostomy which helps her breathe. Luckily, I have a contract with the school district, so I'll still be able to care for her while she's there, so at least there's that. But god, I just can't with all the bad things happening at once. I've been stressed and anxious and depressed and it just has not been a good time. I hate November. October was such a good month for me though. Can we go back to that? 😭 (I swear I am doing better though! Lol. I am trying to focus on things I can control and I will also be trying to get back into blogging because that's a good distraction.)

What I've been watching:

In all of last week's ranting, I forgot to mention that I had gone to see Smile 2 with two of my brothers. Lol. I liked it! That ending was WILD!

As for my MCU rewatch, this is everything I saw in the last week:

Watching Captain America punch nazis was so cathartic 😌 Winter Soldier is up next in my rewatch and not only is it one of my favorite movies in the MCU, but Captain America taking down a corrupted government and punching nazis some more... that's exactly what my soul needs right now 😆 (Also, I just love Captain America 😍 Chris Evans is definitely my favorite Chris 😏)

And I finally watched the new Deadpool movie last night and it was SO much fun!! I loved it!

What I've been listening to:

"This is 50 50, a song about a relationship feeling one sided. This can be friendships and family too. You give give give, but get nothing back, no love or anything." -Unlike Pluto

What I've been playing:

I actually didn't play a lot this week because I just couldn't focus on anything so I just turned on the TV and zoned out watching my silly little superhero movies. Lol. But I did play a little bit early on in the week. Mostly the Black Widow challenge. Below you will see Spouse #2 dead via chicken 😂

This screenshot made me cackle! Look at the Grim Reaper chicken 😭😂

And this is my Black Widow marrying Spouse #3 😈

I played a little bit of my legacy challenge, but not a lot. Mostly I was just trying to get them to earn enough money to move into the house I recently made for them, but I made it so expensive 😭😂 Anyway, above you will see the Grim Reaper himself hanging out with my heir's children 😭 Why? I don't know. Lol. But she was busy exploring space at the time so she appreciated the Reaper babysitting for her 🤣

This is the sequel to Found Him Where You Left Him Dead, which I recently just read, and I cannot tell you how excited I was to find this on Netgalley! And I was lucky enough to be able to get an ARC! I really enjoyed the first book so I'm very much looking forward to reading this one! Thank you Tor Teen!

  1. Lol, I love that Black Widow challenge! That sucks about your patient. Insurance is ridiculous, it's like it makes no sense what they do and don't cover. I still need to see Smile 2, I need to just go on my own one night and watch it. I need to see the new Deadpool movie too. I have done the same by just rewatching Outlander when I need to just let my brain zone out. I hope the rest of the month goes better for you.:-(

    1. Insurance is the absolute worst! And the fact that they made this decision without even consulting her doctors??? Like? Who do you think you are? It's crazy!

Thanks. I hope this month gets better too. But for now, MCU it is. Lol.
